    Hello Rhett here’s a idea for a show if you want to consider it. Could you do a show and go through all 27 years of the Zeenut run and talk about the top 3 cards in each year that are the most desirable, the top 3 cards that are the most scarce and the top 3 that are the most valuable? Zeenuts need more love in the hobby! Thanks

    As to your Ferd Schupp(what a name!) card: isn't it more likely that the change from E121 to E122 was an evolution rather than a complete reset? So there could be any number of variations in design/font/photo treatment between E121 and 122... thanks for the vid!

    • @starsofthediamond7126
      @starsofthediamond7126 Před 8 měsíci

      It could be I suppose but Schupp is the only player found with the strange front. Why? We will never know. The E122 set is a funny one in that the 80 “reset” cards were from an early print run of E121 Series of 80 and not a later print run, which is what you would assume if it was an evolution. Another possibility is that they utilized a second printer to keep up with the demand and instead or making another set of plates to print them they used a set of cards reformatted to by that other printer. Pure speculation but that it sure is fun to speculate! 🤣

      They do but not in the T-card series because they are a British tobacco card set not an American set. The British Cartophilic Society gives every set made from around the world their own set number. I am not sure how often people utilize the British numbering system though.

    • @starsofthediamond7126
      @starsofthediamond7126 Před 9 měsíci

      @@diecastflashback3331 Cards from games (like Fan Craze) are included in the ACC as “WG#” series but were not a well studied subset of cards at the time of Burdick. It was a category that admittedly needed more study and one he hadn’t done much work on. The American League and National League Fan Craze sets have been given the WG2 and WG3 designation, So that is what those are. There was a set of Fan Craze cards that were more “generic” and didn’t include the players themselves…it is debatable whether these should be part of a WG2/3 designation or if they should be considered their own thing.

      Thanks for the kind words. I will keep that in mind. I haven’t had as much time over the last 6 months to make videos but have been thinking about some good ideas for when I do have the time! That is a great idea though! I love the Colgan’s Chips sets so much!

    I would think a PSA10 Mickey Mantle rookie card would be close to a mil.

    Beautiful set. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I always enjoy your videos. I saw there was a SGC 20 Bohen card in a 2016 Heritage Auction that sold for $15,535. I can't imagine what it would sell for today.

    Are Babe Ruth cards the rarest of all baseball cards?

    • @starsofthediamond7126

      Not typically. They are often in the highest demand however which makes them sell for more and less likely to trade hands for that reason. Essentially, nobody can have too many Babe Ruth cards.

    Getting a hold of turn of the century cards is definitely like winning the billion dollar lottery!

      They really are so cool! The history of the game, the player, and the set of cards is fascinating to learn! Thanks for watching!

    I have a 1918 ZeeNut card of Paul Codington of the Oakland Oaks and it still has the coupon attached

      Nice card. 1918’s with the coupon are pretty tough to find but not impossible.

    Very interesting. I learned a lot and subscribed. Thanks.

    Really fascinating set. Great job on describing and showing off the cards. No question in my humble opinion this is one of the most beautiful baseball card sets ever produced. I can see a book on this set with all the wonderful photos of the cards and the stories about these interesting players put together by you Rhett, I’m just saying!
