- In this video I will share my near complete set of 1911 Zeenut Cards that were produced by the Collins Candy Co. and feature the players in the Pacific Coast League (PCL)
One of the most beautiful sets ever produced. This set was distributed exclusively on the West Coast and largely in the San Francisco/Oakland area in California where the Collins Candy Co was located. It features 122 different players from the six different PCL teams that season. Includes are cards of Buck Weaver, Roget Peckinpaugh, and many other future and former Major League players.
I dive deep into the set sharing some of the variations I currently own and also break down who I feel are the toughest to find cards in the set.
Please share your comments below about the set and the video and thank you so much for watching this video.

Always fun to see the 1911s. Beautiful set. Great job.
Really fascinating set. Great job on describing and showing off the cards. No question in my humble opinion this is one of the most beautiful baseball card sets ever produced. I can see a book on this set with all the wonderful photos of the cards and the stories about these interesting players put together by you Rhett, I’m just saying!
Beautiful set. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I always enjoy your videos. I saw there was a SGC 20 Bohen card in a 2016 Heritage Auction that sold for $15,535. I can't imagine what it would sell for today.
Hello Rhett here’s a idea for a show if you want to consider it. Could you do a show and go through all 27 years of the Zeenut run and talk about the top 3 cards in each year that are the most desirable, the top 3 cards that are the most scarce and the top 3 that are the most valuable? Zeenuts need more love in the hobby! Thanks
I thoroughly enjoyed this. this was just great.
Thanks Ray!
Fantastic showcase! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Always learning
I really appreciate that! Thanks for watching.
Incredible set ! Thanks so much for sharing your collection. Much appreciated congratulations
It really is simply one of the most beautiful sets ever produced!
Oh man, great video. I've always really liked this set, but don't I collect PCL. Very cool to see so many of them.
The coolest part of the set is that 60-70% of the players in the set also played in the Major Leagues and in many instances these Zeenut cards are the only cards made during their career.
Item for consideration. Would you consider doing a CZcams session about certain favorite collector sets that many collect autographs. The examples are 1978 Grand Slam, TCMA, SSPC, Manny’s Baseball Land, Renata Galasso and honorable mention the 1960/1961 Fleer Baseball Greats. I know many collectors have such oddball sets, autographed as fun sets along with traditional sets.
That is a great idea! I collect many of those sets in both Signed and Unsigned form.
Hey Rhett, happy to see you back with another video. It has been awhile. Another great video. You have an incredible collection. How many cards do you need for the set minus the variations? Looking forward to more of your content. Take care, Terry
To have one of each player in the set I am only missing the Bohen card. The variations will be a lifetime pursuit! :D
@@rhettyeakley I though you said only the Bohen. Man, that is impressive.
Hey Rhett watched this great video for my 5th or so time 122/123 players in set you have what looks to me to be 8 variations. How many players do you know have variations? Bottom line if you were to collect every player/ variation and have a master set what would the final number be for the set?
I would have to check and see the total number of variations to get you a final number on the known variations. Some of the variations are very attainable while others are insanely rare (like single digit known examples rare)
