They have CLUNG to power despite Biden’s cognitive decline. They have not only perpetrated a sickening deception but have risked our national security in doing so. Average informed voters know this. They also know how the media has participated in this deception. This will not be overlooked or forgotten. The damage is too great.

That's the problem with this guy and all Israel supporters. They think they are entitled and special. Once someone gets stuck in the infinite loop of this thought process, they are separated from the reality. Israel is saying we are not committing genocide. When someone shows the proof then they say well US has done it too or it's one isolated incident, you are antisemite, or Hammas is hiding in residential building. Even if people are antisemite and racist for making those comments, it's clear from any reasonable observer that Israel has been bombing indiscriminately Gazans. So, any reasonable person would say let's see what we are doing is wrong. For example, instead of dropping 2000-pound bombs send in the ground troops. If another country was brutal in their execution of the war and used illegal means it does not mean other country can use that as a justification. Furthermore, Israel needs to face the reality. It cannot force Gazan's to Egypt or Jordan or fly them to Africa by making suffer the brutality. Because of Oct. 7th, millions of people in US and Europe are aware of the nonces of the conflict. Israel will face extreme prejudice in coming years especially as US influence around world begins to decline. This problem was created by colonial powers and Israel has been complicit in this occupation and all the violence resulting from occupation. The Dispatch guy was very cavalier in his attitude and closed minded. His tone, eyes, and general facial expression when he asked his questions were not for learning but to proof his point of view which indicated his mind was stuck in the infinite loop. He was showing signs of complete ignorance and completely confusing facts, reality, and history. As if trouble stated on Oct 7th. It did not. In my opinion if leaders are not able to resolve conflict peacefully and this include ability to anticipate any problem brewing to handle the situation before it becomes a problem especially if these issues result in loss of life, then these leaders should be fired immediately, removed from power. They cannot be trusted, allowed to address their own citizens let alone communicate with other nations, and allowed to make life and death decisions. Ultimately Israel has the responsibility to protect occupied people. It cannot bomb them, starve them, blame them for being occupied, use extreme force and torture to shut them up.

12:30 If John Robert's thought Trump was a one-off and truly "hates the SOB", I have absolutely no clue why SCOTUS would take the case in the first place. Was it honestly that important to correct the Second Circuit even if they got this egregiously wrong? SCOTUS often doesn't take cases until there is a circuit split or the controversy has been percolating in the judicial system for a while. IF Trump is a one off MAYBE there won't be Presidents routinely being prosecuted for minor crimes, and Trump will just be prosecuted or go away and the republic will be fine having never had to answer the "absolute immunity" question. Instead, he butted in, thinking he was going to protect the institution of the presidency and his "rule for the ages" has introduced confusion about whether or not presidents can murder people during one of the most polarized periods in modern American history. I just can't see how he thought this was going to be a good idea. The stakes for every election are going to be even higher for both sides... I can't wait for conservatives to start arguing that we can't elect Kamala Harris because she's going to march troops into the homes of good Christian parents to queer their kids now that she has absolute immunity.

A few observations: 1. Remember that Isgur is married to a lawyer who works for Conservatism Inc and regularly argues before SCOTUS and the Circuit Courts. Isgur's mortgage is thus dependent on not pissing off those groups too much. 2. Trump vs US was an epically horrible decision (on par with Plessy and Dred Scott). The majority made it up out of whole cloth notwithstanding references in the Constitution acknowledging the possibility of prosecution of former presidents. It's total BS. Accordingly we are currently in a constitutional crises. It's so bad that it's entirely possible that Biden could order a replay of the Night of the Long Knives through the military (core presidential power - CNC), pardon all those involved (core presidential power - pardon) and no one would be prosecuted under this ruling. Biden wouldn't do this, but Trump (or someone like Trump who get's elected in ~20 years) will push this decision to it's absolute limit and beyond. Here's a hypothetical for Biden to fix this issue. Biden gives the Trump vs US majority a week to resign or he will use his newly "found" powers to fix the issue. Those that don't resign are eliminated and pardons for those involved are issued. By the ruling in Trump vs. US, there is no liability as long as Biden uses his core presidential powers to effectuate this plan. Biden is not impeached and appoints 6 new judges who promptly take a Jack Smith appeal and over-rule Trump vs US but note that under the then existing rules Biden is not subject to criminal liability because of the decision. Would Isgur and French be vociferously ranting about these set of events? Almost certainly. Would they be correct? Yes, but why are they not ranting now? The immunity from the above is contained in the Trump vs US decision. Do they simply lack the imagination to imagine a POTUS doing such things, do they naively believe that a POTUS would not engage in such action, or do they somehow think that a prosecution is worse than having your head drilled in the middle of the night by HK416? 3. The fact that French and Isgur are focused on the fact that "maybe we shouldn't prosecute former presidents" in light of the wholesale restructuring of the rule of law and the Constitution that resulted from Trump vs US is breathtaking in itself (perhaps not for Isgur - see 1 above). I find French and Isgur's discussion on this point entirely unserious like Trump vs. US was some decision clarifying a minor point in the Slaughter House Cases. 4. The entire Dispatch is more and more sounding like they are moving to the Anti-Anti position.
