I'm glad to see this. From my perspective, it has seemed that the Dispatch crew were trying too hard to avoid saying what to me is the obvious truth--that a second term for Donald Trump would be the worst-possible outcome of the 2024 election. And it has seemed to me that if Sarah Isgur were trying to promote herself as a candidate to be Trump's AG, she wouldn't be doing anything different from what she has been doing. This seems much better.
Joe Biden should have dropped 3 years ago. Him and he's family are intoxicated with the goodies that come with the job. Kamala Harris is Incomplete. We need a full new team.
I've often said Biden should have begun preparing for a replacement candidate on January 21, 2021. As for Kamala, she's rough around the edges, but with the proper coaching and preparation, I believe she could kick the crap out of Mango Mussolini.

Well said. There's a major disconnect between these three and the American people. Biden's presidency is based on the people voting Democrat not paying attention to anything around them as long as their guy is in office. I wished so badly that the talking heads would hold Biden to account for every minute of his presidency, but they put the rose tinted glasses on and lied until that debate. Disgraceful.

Also was the president that broke the streak of peaceful transitions of power, openly says getting revenge is justified against his political opponents. Good borders and being tough on crime are great, and the dems suck at that, and I want a republican in office who can give those things. At the same time lets not pretend like there arent rational reasons to oppose the chaos that followed trump. He is responsible for January 6th. That doesn’t mean he broke laws or should be prosecuted for it, but he as a person is the reason for the events of that day.
How can these podcasters even act like they don't know what is really going on in front of thier faces?

Hacks like Joe Scarborough were saying right up until the debate that Biden was " the best he's ever been". The White House was dismissing videos of the President looking senile as "cheapfakes". And now after their cover up has been exposed, you say "they have been writing and talking about Biden's decline for awhile now." What BS. Yeah for a whole week since their cover up was exposed on live television they've talked about it. Because they had to, since 50 million people saw for themselves what the White House and the press corps had been hiding from them. After they lied and gas lit the American people for over a year about the President's mental competency. Who's been running the country this whole time?!? Because it sure as he'll ain't Biden.

You all are complicit. And you still gaslight your audience about Trump. Somehow everything up until your blind view of Trump is ok to be questioned. But on Trump, bam not one ounce of nuance - he’s just a monster, can’t budge one bit on this view. Everyone must fall in line with that.
Actually, I've found them to be pretty clear-eyed and balanced with regard to Trump. ANYONE not in the MAGA cult can see Trump is a clear and present danger to democracy and to the country.
As a political moderate, I sometimes chafe at some of the things this crew says (I try to listen to REASONABLE people on both sides), but I find their discussions very informative and thoughtful, and this particular podcast was pretty spot-on!

An excellent discussion, and I heard some very astute and well-contemplated theories, with one exception. Someone (I forget who) proposed that, once she's the new nominee, Kamala could face potential criticism for not bringing Biden's age-related deterioration to light, assuming she knew his true condition.
Assuming she was actually aware of the extent of his condition, can you imagine what would have happened if she HAD begun making statements of this nature? The ostracism, the universal condemnation, the accusations of trying to 'steal' Biden's job? That would have been absolutely DISASTROUS for her, politically, and any altruistic motives she might have for such a move still wouldn't have borne any fruit. At all.
All that would have happened is that she would have become a political pariah, her career over, and Biden would STILL have been the nominee.
No, this is playing out in what is probably the best scenario possible -- one or two very high profile disasters, seen by tens of millions of people, which gives cover to the growing chorus of voices urging Ruth Bader Biden to step aside and let Kamala run at the top of the ticket.
Joe Biden saved democracy from Trump and his fascist MAGA cult once, back in 2020. It's time for him to step up, one final time, and do what's right -- finish his term but let someone else take the wheel and steer the boat away from the iceberg!
