AI is soooo overrated right now. People are treating LLMs like it's a general artificial intelligence, which isn't even close to true. It doesn't understand anything it's actually saying, so if it gets down an incorrect path or starts hallucinating, you end up with unreliable garbage. And while the data is unreliable often enough to require being checked by an expert, then it isn't a replacement for said expert. Current AI models are amazing as assistants to professional accountants. I use them regularly to help summarize long email chains, draft emails and other documents, and error check complex Excel formulas. It's even allowed me to write simple VBA scripts for automating emails when I have zero knowledge of programming. It's a wonderful tool for an accountant's kit, but sure as hell not a replacement.

You are literally a saving grace for me right now. I own a tax firm and I gotta say it's been a pain trying to get clients. Plus I've been scared of using social media because I feel like I wouldn't get anywhere. But you opened my eyes here. You're a saint

It's just unfortunate that this is a sponsored video, rather than an actual unbiased review video. That means we know he's not telling us what things he noticed it does badly, what it lacks, or what other competitors we should also consider using. And him having been sponsored by this company will have at least some influence on what he says about this product and its other AI competitors too in the future, even if it's just a subconscious bias, and well, that sucks. Yes, channels need sponsors to fund good content, and he probably wouldn't take sponsors with products he doesn't believe in. But still, just kind of unfortunate for us viewers when it's a product in a category where it would be so much more valuable to see genuine, unpaid evaluations.

I'm currently seeking the perfect opportunity that aligns with my goals and aspirations. Despite having a solid background in accounting, I haven't yet found a role that truly excites me. It often feels like managers expect us to operate like machines, simply following instructions without room for growth or creativity. I am eager to find a role where I can learn new skills and continue to develop professionally. I hold both a bachelor's and a master's degree in accounting and, although I haven't pursued a CPA yet, I plan to work towards it this year. I would be very interested in any remote accounting positions you may have that offer opportunities for skill development and professional growth.

looking at the charts- sadly - only 4 out of 15 you looked at had a mobile app... I guess one can't be as mobile with those choices,,, I find myself in situations sometimes that I have to respond to a client and if I can get at info. on my phone by logging into my Practice management mobile app then, that's one less thing I have to worry about... That narrows it down for me... Thanks Jason

Lol you asked the right questions... why didn't you answer them?? Are you comfortable with feeding it client data? Did you ask them any of those Qs?

using TaxDome and like it but want something that has good Client CRM functionality too... I use Salesforce for this and TaxDome. I do like how Taxdome integrates with QB and I can invoice from there and it shows up in QB. and I use CPACHARGE for the payment processing... looking at Mango now ... But I'm glad you mentioned Co-pilot and that would be nice if I changed my back end the client would see a consistent front end - Brilliant!

Nope! If A.I advance then your degree is worthless. A.I has taken over customer service and backroom stock jobs so what do you think will happen to your career if Manager, CEO, CFO decides that A.I is more profitable and productive and low cost compared to paying humans wage, taxes, medical and vacation and overtime hours? You will be fired just like Amazon done to all those employees. Don't depend on A.I if you value humans having a equal chance in the workforce.

Yup. I agree that CPA is nothing as a marketing tool. I didn't get practice management software until I reached 50K in gross revenue. There was no need for it and I was cash poor

Unfortunately, I was on that partner track line. The carrot dangling just out of reach for years. Finally got tired of it and just started my own firm. Partners act like it just came out of nowhere. So exhausting.

I always struggled with the "help me grow my firm and then I will sell you some at the higher value you created." I also struggled with the buy-in when you can start your own firm and dump the buy-in cost into advertising and be in full control.

Ah yes. I chased that carrot of, "we see you as a future partner! Please do everything that no one wants to do." Not anymore! Just started my own firm while working remote for a W2 job, now I just need to figure out how to get the right clients! So far I only have 1, but this is just my first month.

We use Dropbox because Australian Taxation Office disapproves of sending any client data with their tax file numbers. I am reviewing portal options.
