Iâve been doing monthly milestones for all my bookkeeping clients. We meet monthly to review the books - and donât do cleanup work for new clients until after tax season OR itâs a referral from a CPA group that canât handle the work- and thatâs a premium service ( $$$ ).
Our goal is to have everything wrapped by 2/15 so the CPAâs we work with donât want to murder us or their client.

Thank you! Even the AICPA does not understand that tax season used to be 105 days, now with all the delays we only have 82 days to file returns. But, with how late and often wrong brokerage statements go out you could argue we have 30 days. You touched on it, but part two is, given that everything is so much more scrunched, how do you effectively manage 1000 text messages that say, "hey, I know you are super busy, but I just have a 2 minutes question" (that turns into 30 min).

Hi, I didn't understand why push back business clients. After all, it is better for them to know their tax result as soon as possible, do they have to pay money to the tax authorities or do they deserve a refund, isn't that right? I would appreciate it if you could expand a little on this topic.

Yes, nothing worse than someone calling and then the only message is "call me, I have a 3 minute question." Is it that hard to just go ahead and say why you are calling? It is never under a 30 min call.
