I agree that the dog infected Norris and that the first pair of torn clothes belonged to him when Nauls found them, but I don't believe Palmer became infected until just after MacReady's lecture about how the Thing infects people, so I believe the second pair of torn clothes found by Windows belonged to Palmer. You can notice a shift in Palmer's lax nature after the lights went out. I believe when Norris indirectly stated his adamant belief that Copper's blood test would have worked that it was a clear implication that he's the one who sabotaged it so he wouldn't be unmasked as a Thing. Norris was also shown to be quite skilled at medical procedures when he injected Copper with morphine. It's less likely that Palmer did it because the keys to the blood were on Gary during Blair's destructive outburst, so it had to be sabotaged either just before or, more likely since the blood hadn't dried, after that scene took place while Gary was asleep. I do however believe that after Palmer's infection, that he was the one to frame MacReady as a Thing by ripping his name tag off his clothes. I believe that while the Palmer-Thing was busy framing MacReady that Blair was infected by Norris when the lights went out before Blair could be given the blood test. Lastly, I agree with Childs being human with the reasons you gave, although I believe that MacReady erroneously thought otherwise when Childs failed his test upon Child's being open to drink from his bottle.

See I believe land takes place after day because in Day of the Dead yeah it looked pretty dark and looked like those were the last survivors but you have to think how many other places were there survivors just like them held up somewhere. I think a lot of survivors came together and started working together to get some places livable again

I think the explanation and night is the only thing that really makes sense on how the dead have came back to life, especially when you consider that they’re all sequels together

It drives me crazy that when Tatum is getting attacked in the garage, she only tries to open the door once... The killer appeared obviously from inside the house. She fights him off on the other side of the garage and runs to the door only to stand there and trip him so she can run and try to escape through the doggie door... Why did she never once try to go through the door to the house after the killer used it???

Recently watched an old British documentary about the video nasty overreaction in the 80s. I think its on Prime. Its really great & features many of the main figures involved including politicians of the day. Mary whitehouse was the legendary figurehead of the outraged crowd. The original Karen.

I feel you need a great budget to make great sci-fi. It requires great costumes, set designs & SFX. Seems most of these films struggled in that sense.

The dialogue in these 30s films is so theatrical. You really have to get in the zone of it all. Its not relatable at all. But They can be fun in a very camp melodramatic way. Plus they are a great record of early film techniques & costume designs. Fashion students take notes.

Boris karloffs real name is William Pratt which always amuses me. It must be rare an English actor(or american also) changes their name to sound more foreign! As for the Boris/Bela pairings in films its well documented that Bela hated the fact Boris always got top billing. Even when Bela was the lead title role like The Raven. But Bela was also a drug dependant alcoholic so that damaged his career in the 1940s. I suspect these horror stars were not paid that well. As they are still not.

Thank you for doing a Blind Dead timeline, I love this series, the 2nd is my favorite. I even built Blind Dead yard decorations that I put out on Halloween (and was amazed that my neighbor across the street recognized the series too!) subbed!

If you happen to do a ‘pick-ups and scraps’ episode for missed 1930s films, I highly recommend ‘De Spooktrein’ (1939), in which a group of characters end up in an apparently haunted train station on a rainy night. Tons of fun, rapid-fire jokes, and a bit of a proto-Scooby-Doo vibe to it. Thanks for the wonderful videos!
