Always found it funny that Friday the 13th and Halloween each have three different Tommy's, three actors, three different personalities.(Excluding Remake of course)
@@gabrielmenezes2761 1) Put some respect on Jonesy's name. 2) it's very hard to put into words, but... When I think of a final girl, a lot of the list doesn't qualify, and that's just me. But Ripley, above anyone else? She's just a different beast
I paused to read your list of participants and I'm the fifth one on your list. I've been subscribed for a bit now. Thanks for your channel and your work.
I would have had the top two switch places. Nancy Thompson only faced Freddy twice (in the original series) and was killed in her second confrontation with the Dream Demon. Also, Freddy kept coming back afterwards, so her fighting him didn't amount to much. Laurie Strode fought Michael Myers far more, and if you don't consider Resurrection to be canon, ended his reign of terror in H20. Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), and Halloween H20 (1998) = Laurie cutting Michael's damn head off Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends = Laurie is far more badass and proactive. I haven't seen all of the newest Halloween films yet, so I don't know quite how they end, but regardless of whether or not she dies, she kicks some ass before she goes.
@@kirAthshiAue I said that she fought him, not that she beat him. While Doctor Loomis did save her in the first two movies, she held her own until he got there. In the first movie she stabbed him with a knitting needle. Then later she poked his eye out with a wire hanger and stabbed him with his own kitchen knife. Then in the second movie she shot Michael twice in the face, blinding him. Then she helped Doctor Loomis with releasing the gas so that he could blow Michael up. It might have taken her until her back was up against a wall and she had nowhere left to run. But in the end, she fought back against Michael Myers. And eventually, in H20 (which is what I consider the canonical ending to the franchise), she ended him by taking his head off with a fire axe.
Here's the list I sent in to Josh (edit - looks like I was the only person to vote for Leo and Deena) Ginny - Friday 13th Part 2 Tree Gelbman - Happy Death Day & Happy Death Day 2U Sidney Prescott - Scream Marty - Cabin in the Woods Max Cartwright - Final Girls Deena Johnson - Fear St trilogy Nancy Thompson - Nightmare on Elm St Leo Barnes - Purge:Anarchy & Purge: Election Year Arkin - The Collector & The Collection Tommy Jarvis - Friday 13th Parts 4,5,6.
If strictly horror then Laurie Strode. If you are to add Sci/Fi Horror then top #3 are as follows #1 Ellen Ridley #2 Sarah Conner #3 Laurie Strode I absolutely put Alien and Terminator in Horror, but I believe most everyone puts Alien there but debates on Terminator
If you consider Terminator as horror, then Predator is also horror, so Dutch (or whatever he's called - played by Arnold) would be a final girl and a very good one.
Happy that my votes for Skye (My Super Psycho Sweet 16) and Camryn (Last Girl Standing) got them in the list at the end. Skye is one of my favorite horror characters of all time, next to Sidney and Sam from Scream. She goes through a lot in the trilogy but she always makes it out on top in the end. I highly recommend everyone to check out the trilogy. Also, Last Girl Standing has one of the coolest plot twists I've seen in a while. Predictable sure, but makes the whole last act of the movie so much more entertaining.
5 of mine made the list, the others didn’t. Marty - managed to outsmart the Director(and maybe ended the world) Jaime Lloyd - had to face Michael twice as a child Joey - stood up to Pinhead without making a deal Andy - such a great final child Beth - (Hostel 2) quick thinking she managed to survive & turn the tables
I’m good with everyone on this list except for Jess from Black Xmas. She did her boyfriend so dirty. She got him killed after ruining his piano audition. I don’t like her at all.
I think Jess should get points for historical importance. She may not technically have been the first final girl, but there's no doubt in my mind that final girls are brunettes because Olivia Hussey is a brunette.
The best "final girl" is Ash J. Williams from The Evil Dead films 😅 Besides him it is Ripley and Sarah Connor (original films only). Laurie was not that competent in Halloween I and II (Loomis done the job).Just after H20 she become a badass.
Love the channel but what is happening with the transition between movies? This video is great but the transition between videos… . Jesus. Laying down and my dogs are bugging out at the noise. Still dig the vid just bring it down to a 6 homie
Can you count a female character as a girl if they are clearly at least playing as a man in the remake, to make her character the way it was she came up with I don't want to play her as a weak woman falling apart, but I want to be as strong as a man and then she cuts her hair like that? I'm not saying she is attracted to females, but from the statement made and the way she acts and looks I think it is like she has a agenda in this film, you know womens equal to men type of thing. I could be wrong but it sure comes off that way to me, and while this character drove me nuts in the original, this complete transformation kinda made me still not like the character as well.
The original Terminator is a Slasher. I’ll die on that hill.
I have never thought about it that way, but yes it could very well be considered one.
Totally agree. Same can be said for Alien. Sure it's in outer space, but it's still characters getting killed off one by one.
A slasher with GUNS!!!!
You are correct.
Westworld goes the same way
Always found it funny that Friday the 13th and Halloween each have three different Tommy's, three actors, three different personalities.(Excluding Remake of course)
Ripley. She wins. It's not fair to the slasher genre final girls, but if Ripley is in the running she wins every time.
I don't even think you can consider Ripley just a final girl.
She's just so much more, you know what I mean?
@@Puncherjoe1 in the first movie she is a final girls

It's not a horror movie. I'll die on that hill
No matter how this video turns out, to me Ash Williams will always be the best final girl/final boy.
I thought he would be first place!
Honestly, I thought Erin would end up higher if not the first one. And kudos to the other one guy who included Mima from Perfect Blue!!!
The survivors in Wrong Turn 1, 2, &7 deserve a shout-out. Especially Jennifer and Nina
I feel like if this had been a traditional vote, it would have come down to Ripley vs Sarah Connor.
So pleased Nancy won as I'm sick of Laurie 😁👍💜🐾👋
I’m always shocked that I never see Regina and Sam from night of the comet on these final girls list. I think they are underrated for sure
that's crazy. they are on mine
@@werlost agreed….. Regina is pretty badass and Sam gets there as the movie goes on. I did see Regina got some votes in this list at least
Hey Josh. I did the math and noticed you didn't mention all of your choices. Who are the remaining three on your list? Kinda curious. 🤔
Great list, great video!!!
Justice for Jesse Walsh
Ppff that douche nozzle IS Freddy lol
Oh my fucking god two people voted YOU from The Last Amityville that's amazing!
My 11 and 12 were Max (Final Girls) and Burt Gummer (Tremors).
GREAT LIST! love it
Belated vote for Roger (Night of the Demons) .
Nice! That would have been a great vote!
My favorit final boy is Jones in Alien.
I'm surprised Alice from Resident Evil only got 2 votes. If I'd participated she would have been in my top 5 easily.

Wendy and Danny Torrance - together, they symbolize how Americans working together can win the space race.
This was a great list put together by everyone
Sydney being #4 and not in top 3 upsets me
Here's the list I sent in to Josh (edit - looks like I was the only person to vote for Leo and Deena)
Ginny - Friday 13th Part 2
Tree Gelbman - Happy Death Day & Happy Death Day 2U
Sidney Prescott - Scream
Marty - Cabin in the Woods
Max Cartwright - Final Girls
Deena Johnson - Fear St trilogy
Nancy Thompson - Nightmare on Elm St
Leo Barnes - Purge:Anarchy & Purge: Election Year
Arkin - The Collector & The Collection
Tommy Jarvis - Friday 13th Parts 4,5,6.
Sidney of Scream wins number 1 for me.
Tina vs Mary Beth would be such a badass fight
Laurie from Halloween should be on the top of the list and Riley from aliens
Best list ever!
If strictly horror then Laurie Strode. If you are to add Sci/Fi Horror then top #3 are as follows
#1 Ellen Ridley
#2 Sarah Conner
#3 Laurie Strode
I absolutely put Alien and Terminator in Horror, but I believe most everyone puts Alien there but debates on Terminator

If you consider Terminator as horror, then Predator is also horror, so Dutch (or whatever he's called - played by Arnold) would be a final girl and a very good one.
@@DeltaDemon1 the fact you are unsure of the name of Arnold's character in Predator makes you opinion void 🤣. Movie trivia 101 👍
This list is so fluid, it's hard to deny any of these choices, but, I must "go to bat" for Ellen from Incident On and Off A Mountain Road.

The final girl from "Vacancy" (2007).
5 of mine made the list, the others didn’t.
Marty - managed to outsmart the Director(and maybe ended the world)
Jaime Lloyd - had to face Michael twice as a child
Joey - stood up to Pinhead without making a deal
Andy - such a great final child
Beth - (Hostel 2) quick thinking she managed to survive & turn the tables
Beast from The Hills Have Eyes (original and remake) was the goodest final boi.
Great top 3
This is a great list there's a few changes but I'll stick with this list
she lived longer than her competition
Heck yeah 60K all the way!!!
I missed this one but Ripley would be my number 1
I’m good with everyone on this list except for Jess from Black Xmas. She did her boyfriend so dirty. She got him killed after ruining his piano audition. I don’t like her at all.
We need a Final Guy list now.
Damn, I was the only one who voted for Witchata and Little Rock.
Nancy from the nightmare Elm Street remake has a different last name so therefore I do not consider the same character
Trish Friday final chapter
If you got Tommy Jarvis I hope you got Jesse Wash and Ash Williams too
The one who survives past the sequel, and doesn't degrade herself along the way...
I think Jess should get points for historical importance. She may not technically have been the first final girl, but there's no doubt in my mind that final girls are brunettes because Olivia Hussey is a brunette.
Chief Brody
He was on my list!
The fact that in the entire poll Fool got a single vote proves that more people need to watch The People Under The Stairs.

laurie dies in Halloween Rob Zombie 2
Wow, I guess I'm out of the loop, my list was pretty much vastly different.
Well maybe not THAT vastly different, I just double-checked and only half my picks showed up.
16 and 17 had the same name and votes. Was it just me?
Brilliant of the 8 I sent in 7 on the list and Lorrie and heather in the top too!
Miss Higgins for ft13th part 3 was a no show
Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley are great sci-fi final girls. I said what I said.
Ellen Ripley or Sarah Connor. It's not even a contest with any others.
Man I had 8
jenna presley
Um ... where the fuck is Agent Starling? She's got to be top five.
Young Laurie and Nancy or old Nancy and Laurie?
I'm very confused. Why are there guys on the list when the title says "Final Girls"? I honestly don't understand.

Just starting the video… If Jamie Lee isn’t the top final girl I’m gonna riot.
I don’t get the 2 people that picked Josh from LAM as a best Final Girl. Final Girls are virgins and that guy definitely bangs.
Final girls are just people that survive until the end of the horror movies. Also, Ash is on the list. We know he ain't no virgin. Or Sarrah Connor.
