The Battle of the Mini Bike Pumps - Cycplus AS2, AS2 Pro and AS2 Pro Max Review
I got the chance to test @cycplus9684 AS2 mini bike pumps. These really come in handy especially when you're travelling and need air. They're also quite handy to simply top up your tires with air before a ride. Just plug into a USB C charger and you're good to go! I find the adapter hose works quite well on the presta valves, and having the pressure gauge is a must have in my opinion. They also work really well for disc wheels.

Hello, I'm thinking of buying a C606, but I already have cadence and speed sensors built into my bike (Bontrager/Trek) and a Garmin Varia RTL 515 radar. Will the C606 recognize and pair with my sensors? Thanks in advance.
I thought about a china brand bike but I donât trust them cause they come backwards and you get know service if it needs a tune up I just prefer to get a giant or Scott or felt That has a lot of rnd then this bike or any Chinese bike
The best is a normal pump, can inflate more than two times and is a lot more lightweight. This is a solution to a problem nobody has.
I agree the best is a normal pump for most occasions, however a mini electric pump has its use. For example, this past weekend I was able to pump up my race tires (one's a disc wheel) quite easily because of this mini pump with a low profile pump head adapter. It's usually a two hand operation, which is quite difficult with a hand pump.
@@henrychungfitness yes and one youtuber mentioned it's quite convenient when traveling with your bike abroad, bringing a full floor pump takes valuable space in the bike bag or extra luggage.
another awesome video fam...keep em coming. im thinking of getting one. i'd go with the pro. its a good medium for weight and function.
Thanks for watching! I agree the Pro is the best in terms of size, price and functions.
Thank you for the good video. Can you tell me, is the Xoss supporting .gpx-tracks by using the USB-connection? I'm using komoot instead of strava, so there os no app sync. But with komoot i can create tracks as a gpx-file.
Sorry Iâm not sure what you mean by your question? The Xoss Nav has app sync and upload to strava
@@henrychungfitness Sorry for the complicate question. Most cycling computers can use .gpx-files. So you can use other apps instead strava for editing your tracks (like komoot app). Mostly you can save these track files by using the usb connection to the computer. I will try it, IÂŽve ordered a Xoss Nav Plus.
Co2 will reseat the tire if the bead is loose. Not sure about the pump.
So far it seems to reseat the bead. As long as thereâs enough pressure it should be good đ
Disc brakes all day đ đŽ
Can these overpriced battery powered pumps replace CO2 and mechanical pumps? Duh, of course they can. The important question is WHY would you? I'll always use mechanical pumps of good quality. A good one will last me years, with no money wasted on non-reusable spent CO2 canisters, or batteries that, going by manufacturer's business models, cannot be replaced, and with batteries having a short life-span ( which is good for repeat buying that greedy manufacturing heirarchy like).
I agree a good mechanical pump is always one of the better options. However, a mini electric pump like this could be beneficial in certain situations đ
@@henrychungfitness No one would buy these gadgets if they weren't effective. I'm sure manufacturer's R&D departments spent some time making sure of the gadget's useability...though of course, there's always exceptions of utterly stupid gadgets manufacturers try to peddle. Reiterating on your video title question. Of course a battery powered pump CAN replace the other two types. My point remains - for folks to consider why would they own one. The types of riding I do, current and future endeavours due to increased fitness, I'll never buy CO2 or battery, period. To me, they're pointless gimmicks in relation to my lifestyle, and far more long-term costly than mech pumps. If others improve their lives with CO2 and battery, I've no need or desire to denigrate or interfere in their personal preferences. As long as manufacturer's keep making quality mech pumps, that's what I'll always buy.
Totally agree with you. Would you have any recommendations on a solid mech pump that youâve used?
@@henrychungfitness There's a number of quality ones by manufactuers at reasonable prices. People can simply do what I did, research. Rear reviews by owners or trusted review sites.

Henry, why did you do that?

Depends how fast you want to be able to stop in the rain
Good point. Disc seem better for the rain đ
For road bikes, rim brakes are better except in the rain. Lighter, cheaper, simpler, nicer looking (?), what else??
@@jseyc77 Iâd say rim brakes are great, but the rim wear over time for carbon wheels and also using them in gravel/mud conditions isnât the best
Ultimately the best brakes are the ones that make you stop "about as fast" as the people you are riding with. If you're in a pack with 10 other people, and they all have disc brakes...and you have rim brakes...you're in trouble.
Disc brakes. Every day
@@matthewwilson4103 disc brakes are great for wet conditions and gravel/mud! Also no rim wear since youâve got rotors and disc brake pads đ
is it ok to buy this wheel for road bike?
@@user-oj9ip6qr6x I think the 88mm might be a bit deep for road bikes, but they also have shallower depth wheels like 50mm
@@henrychungfitness OK, thanks for your reply

Conect in wheeltop EDS TX?!
Yes it can connect via Ant+ but itâs not perfect. The battery levels arenât accurate
hey henry, how many spacers and of what size did you use on the drivetrain side of the bb? i'm having issues with the chain rubbing on the cassette in the lowest 3 gears and the internet says it's due to chainline.
No spacers for the bb. I assembled the Shimano BBR60 straight on. Iâm also running Wheeltop EDS TX derailleurs đ€·ââïž
I have them and they don't go dark enough in the bright sun, and they stay tinted even in low UV conditions in winter. Only in complete darkness or inside they are clear. So not the best but usable..
are these the translucent or glossy black decals?
I believe they were the translucent decals but I could be wrong
So many bs just to clean a chain⊠jesus

This pretty much confirms my suspicions: for a good amount of time i really liked the saddle, in fact i bought it to test the shape and made the transition to the specialized power. Never changed it because it worked perfect but after almost THREE years of use, i felt like my seat bones weren't reaching the position they should. Didn't came to my mind to check the flexibility as you showed and... it's pretty flexible so i guess the material or structure was worn out because at some point it was good. I'm pretty happy with the purchase though, i paid like 18USD at the time and it worked for a long time. Great shape also!

A gerber para frame, by far the worst edc pieces I've ever owned.
I see myself and my Bianchi bike in your video woohoo!
Awesome! I hope you had a good race đ
Price
Good review
Thank you for watching đ
Bro please have your gearing and brakes set up professionally. The electric tape and external cables is so poor đ
Hahaha that was temporary while I was waiting for my electronic groupset đ
Nice build love that frame and the paint job. I recently built my first road bike, but I went a different route. I got an aluminum frame with external routing and made it 1X 11 using a Sensah SRX Pro 1x11 groupset with a 48T Chainring and 11-36 Cassette. I also got no name, carbon seatpost, fork handlebars and saddle. I took the spare road Elitewheels ENT wheelset from my gravel bike and put on Panaracer Gravelking SS 700 x 28C. The bike total weight with pedals and a single bottle cage 19.37 lbs. The whole bike is steath black with the exception of the chain, cassette and rotors. And total cost was about $1000. This was my first bike build and I think its awesome that I bullt the bike instead of just buying it. My only complaint is the brakes. Even with compression less housing, the brakes are not as good as a fully hydraulic brake system. Maybe in the future i get a hydraulic groupset instead.
Congrats on your first build! Itâs always rewarding building a bike, especially your first. Enjoy the new custom ride đ€
Those were the good old gp5000 â€ïž... all those new ones flat like crazy now.. lighter for no added speed, just weaker tires..
Agreed, I find they have poor puncture resistance đ
Gp5000 clincher has been always the same. Only the tubeless version changed.
awesome video, man. thanks! by the way, I got my Hygge and I now have about 4 months of riding, but I'm having some issues with play/loose on the headset. by braking the front wheel, I can note a huge play (almost 5cm!!! of movement) and I'm very uncomfortable and concerned with my safety on descents. have you faced these issues? (I got the handlebar 40cm x 130 mm and I'm using all the spacers) I still love the bike =)
5cm of play or 5mm? Thatâs a big difference, but either way theyâre both too much play. You should really stop riding and get it fixed by readjusting the expander plug and handlebar/headset assembly. Iâve torqued my expander plug to 9Nm and handlebar/stem bolts to 6Nm.
@@henrychungfitness thanks for the advice. I've already tried readjusting the expander, but it hasn't worked. So I dropped the bike at the bike shop to fix it đ
@@raphaelalmeida4596 Make sure to ask them to check the fork as it may be damaged if the headset was loose and you were riding it like that for awhile.
â@@henrychungfitness much thanks for the advice. Now the bike is perfect. There's no more loose on the headset.
Can these be run tubeless?
Anyone knows if there will also be new AV valves coming? Like metal, threaded with a securing Nut and stuff?
It might be as good as the 10sp 6770 ultegra series. Sounds like it. I am still using it. It's good enough.
Hi i got an aero bike frame and I'm mounting it and because im a noob i got the cables through the frame and handlbar and then realised my bearing was not through the cables so had to take cables off the handlebars, put them in and realised that i should have put the foam on the cable housing to stop rattling and put the cables through the handlebars again, it might have taken 10/15 minutes to do it each time, if you struggling I'd suggest to buy internal routing cable tool with magnet, that's what I used and without it i wouldn't be able to do it, maybe give it a try if you didn't know about it
I also used the magnetic routing tool as well and it works, but through the handlebar is very difficult because thereâs so little space for brake and shifter cable housing đ
Their kits are nice, but the shoes are basically trash. Like you said literally zero heel rentention and support, and after using a pair only for about 2600kms(they have developed probably even before 1000kms and have worsened as i used the shoes) the shoes already have developed side tears that goes all the way inside. The material used is too thin. I don't think this pair would last a year.
Yikes! Thanks for leaving your feedback. I guess they donât last long? Did you try reaching out to Santic to see if they can help you out?
Way too expensive for a beginner shoe. Might as well get one from Decathlon that you can return/exchange if needed.
Good point! What shoes does Decathlon carry?
wow amazing. I built everything on my bike except for the bottom bracket. Have u done that yourself? i think it's the most challenging part
Yes I assembled the BB as well. Itâs quite easy to assemble if you have the right tool đ
At the same price point you can get carbon sole shoes from Sidebike
Good to know thanks! What are your thoughts on the quality of Sidebike shoes?
