Ramp test is iffy if you ask me and definitely favors people who are really good with burst workouts. So lifters and sprinters. To put it in perspective I can score 30-40 watts higher on a ramp test compared to a 20min FTP test because I am a sprinter at heart. I use my 20min for actual training.
Agreed, I’ve heard it’s not accurate but I figure it could be a decent way to test my relative power numbers to see some progress if any. That’s a huge difference between the ramp vs 20min test 😱
