AliExpress Bottom Bracket Swap - FSA Omega to Shimano 105 Crankset

I wanted to switch my crankset on my Felt IA16 to 165mm cranks in Shimano 105, so I got the ZTTO BB30sh bottom bracket from AliExpress. This is a press fit and screw together bottom bracket similar to the one from Wheels Manufacturing. It was my first time removing a BB30, so I'm glad I had the Muqzi bb removal tool.
Is this a ‪@Hambini‬ approved bb swap??

Anyone else use ZTTO ceramic bearing bottom brackets? Are they @Hambini approved?

Hambini says ceramic bearings are 💩
The ZTTO press fit hollowtech BB that screws together in the middle copied Hambini’s design solution to non-round BB shells on carbon frames.

@@henrychungfitness Hambini BB30 for Shimano 24mm spindle is £197. NTN ultra low friction bearings for BB30 is £27.
ZTTO bottom brackets is probably fine for recreational use. As long as you don’t expect high performance. Also if you’re fine with replacing the bearings often. Since the bearings on cheap BB don’t last.

Been running this on all my pressfit bikes. As they are threaded and its less of an inconvenience to replace. No problems since

Waxed chain ftw! Keeps everything clean. Also I agree that the tool is perfect for a home mechanic. Quite frankly we don't change bottom brackets out that often, doesn't make sense to spend $200 plus on a tool that you use only once or twice.

I’ve been looking at these bottom bracket to replace my press fit Shimano one on my MTB. From what I’ve read the bearings are okay but now you have the tools to pull the bearings and install new ones if they get chunky, the aluminum shell should be fine. Time will tell.

Agreed, atleast if the bearings are crappy then I can always replace them. At the price I paid ~$30CAD I can’t go wrong 😂

Thanks for watching! Yea I tried to match my Q factor from before to keep it consistent. Luckily I have pedal washers to adjust since this new setup is slightly narrower than the FSA crankset 👌

You would be better off with praxis bb30 to shimano bb. They use enduro bearings and spin damn well.

Thanks for the tip! I checked the pricing and it’s considerably more expensive than the $30 ZTTO bb, and I wanted to try this option out to see if it could be an economical option. Maybe one day I might upgrade the bearings 👍
