no diss to Pink Floyd but part of the genius of this song and album was Alan Parsons - he was the producer and responsible for the dreamy, multilayered sound and time changes that made this so ahead of the time (and re-invented rock 'n roll). Now I say this in 100% admiration, because I am not a huge Pink Floyd fan but heck I appreciate Dark Side of the Moon. I really liked this film even though I know some things were altered to suit the film, timelines were condensed to fit, I think Freddie knew Mary a few years before Queen were formed. Because I didn't know a whole lot of Queens history I don't really know how factual the film is and naybe because of that I took it at face value and enjoyed it. If Mary had been enough for Freddie, things could have been very different.
