Thanks for the video. đđŸđ€
Personally I leave them be. I have two indoor pots that I grow a banana plant and avocado tree. I mixed in crushed dead leaves into my soil for better soil conditions and noticed these things all over the soil when I watered my plants. At first I panicked but then noticed, they had no intentions on harming or even crawling up the plant/tree. Also I did notice the crushed leaves were getting smaller overtime, so I figured they were helping to break down the dead material. Both plant and tree are doing just fine.
I have a sincere question. The image at the beginning of the video of the dried up seeds from the pit. Were those truly viable because I trashed several wrinkled dried up seeds like that thinking for sure they was not viable.
Can i plant it this season,or there's a particular season for it
Thanks
The diameters Earth only works if it's dry
I have a mango tree that my aunt and uncle in Okeechobee gave me and itâs in the ground now. But some members of my church gave me some honey mangoes a couple of weeks ago and after seeing g your video, I wanted to see if I could try the same with the seed from them. Very helpful and insightful video. Also, Miracle Gro has a âShake âN Feedâ granular fertilizer for citrus, mango and avocado trees with and orange dispensing top on it. I got that from Loweâs.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS I LOVE TO LEARN ABOUT HOW TO PLANT VEGGIES FRUITS HERBS SPICES THE CREATOR PUT THE WONDERFUL FOOD HERE FOR HIS CHILDREN TO EAT HEALTHY WEALTHY ENJOY LIFE TO THE FULLEST PEACE
Out of the other videos, your relaxing teaching voice made learning your way the easiest.
You did a great video. I love your voice. You speak to us with respect. Thank you for that. I gew a tree years ago in my neighbor's yard because I knew we'd be selling our house. It took about three years to get small manos, then all of a sudden the tree shot up and by five years it was tall and full of beautiful mangos. It's been 9 years now and I think it's the most beautiful tree ever. My neighbor Dave just brought me seven beautiful fruit. Every year. I love to see it in bloom. Making chutney and putting it on salads is my favorite. You explained this very well. I wanted to make sure that I remembered. I just cut my seed out. Thanks again. Nicely done.
Wow
Awesome! I just began cold stratifying my nectarine seed from a super yummy fruit i had a snack with. Hope you get all the growth!
Most of the peaches i have grown from pits were actually almost spot on to the original fruit. My apples on the other hand were very mixed. My citrus was pretty close as well. It all just depends on what pollen it gets and whether or not the original was hybridized or some kind of special crossing as well. Most of the peaches and nectarines were amazing though.
đđ
Very nice đ
Love this simple video. You cover everything, you get to the point and you TALK. In so many video's anymore there is no one explaining anything. Also, you have a good voice. You should look into doing audiobooks or voiceovers. Thanks again!
How did it not get mold? Mine became moldy after 2 days!
Sometimes mine do too!
@@vesgardens And they still germinate healthily?
If it's soft and rotten, no. But sometimes, with any fruit seed, if it's still firm I'll just wipe the mold off and replace the paper towel. Sometimes those germinate a little slower.
No frut from seeds My frut is 5 yers đ !!!
It can take longer!
Im trying this method as we speak. I will let you all know how it went. Ty for showing this video. â€â€
I hope you get some germinating!
đźâđšwhew. They "pop" between your thumb nails like an egg would. Google was Zero help till i found this video. I think you've saved alotta ppl unnecessary worryâ€
Glad I could help!!
This is very informing..I found too use plastic baggy helps keeps the pieces from flying...
Thanks for the tip!
I started to grow each plant from seed because i notice that the ones grafted that i buy they almost always grow slow, low production etc...while i have 2 casually borned from seeds they have no patology, they do great. From seeds they are stronger, the bad thing is the wait time and the lottery with fruit quality
Thanks for the instructions! I love your curiosity for plants, and I'm excited to see if/how my baby oranges grow.
I hope you get some tasty oranges one day!
Where should i put it on the counter or in the fridge?
You can keep it in the fridge if you want. I always keep my in a dark place like a drawer or something.
Do you need to wet the paper towel when itâs dry?
Yes.
Thank you. I bought a peach and wonder if you could plant the seed. Thank goodness for your video because I would have planted the whole seed.. đ
Glad it helped! It would've taken a little bit longer to germinate if you planted it while still in the pit.
@@vesgardens Thank you for telling me.
It can be done without cold stratification. Missing a lot of important steps though. Stop using tap water. Use distilled water with hydrogen peroxide (50/50mix) soak the seeds for a few hours then place them in the paper towel (not dripping wet)in a ziplock bag with no air inside. You should not have any mold and still germinate without the cold stratification. Many steps after but this should put you in the right direction and control the mold.
Itâs the choice of music for me

PS thank you for the info!
Interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this video!
Glad it was helpful!
I just started gardening very recently. I have a compost ball and I only have a few successful plants. Two young blueberry bushes, two sweet pepper plants and one very enthusiastic tomato plant. I'm very new to this but I just found your channel and I can already tell this is where I need to be getting my information. You explain things in a way that is very easy to understand. Thank you so much.
So you dry the out first please?
I do, but you don't have to.
Its summer for me and because its 90 degrees my mango sprouted roots in 2 days
Nice!!
Can you grow this in a sandpit
Idk, you'll have to try it out and see. Let me know if it worked!
Thatâs exactly what happened to my okra seedlings!!!
You saved me from panicking. Thanks!
Question. If you have multiple, how far apart do you have to plant them? And if you live in a place that snows in winter, will they survive, or do you have to bring them inside? If you have to bring them inside for winter, what's the care for them? Will they be ok without any humidity?
I plant them in their own containers. I've read if you want to plant them in ground they should be 10 feet apart. My tree did not survive the winter, so yes, bring it inside. Just make sure they good light for at least 6 hours, needs to be in well-draining soil, water when soil is dry. You can get small humidifiers for humidity.
@@vesgardens tysm! I planted my first set a month ago in individual containers indoors, they're thriving so far. I have a few yellow mangos germinating, hopefully they will work as well in the same conditions đ€ Love love love your channel, thanks for the help đ©”
You forgot to sprinkle cinnamon on it to prevent mold growth
Sounds like a bad idea as fungus is vital to plant health.
@@jamesj8007 mold can and will quickly kill seeds
@@jamesj8007 adult plants maybe but it will quickly kill seeds
Didnt work the seed got brown
I've had that happen too.
Help! My mango seeds have roots that are still growing, but they are dark brown and black, with hints of green. Did I do something wrong? The roots look fine but as I said the actual seed looks like it if on the verge of death đ
In my experience, the seed itself will start to shrivel and decompose, just look bad, once the roots start growing. You probably need to go ahead and plant it lol
@@vesgardens okay thank you
Just put that husk in the pot it will sprouted by taking some time
i read cinnamon helps with them not rotting
I got a bunch of wood chips in mine like huge pieces
Thumbs up.ood job mama.đđ
Thank you
What kind of paper did you use a toilet paper or
Paper towel
Thank you, I have the exact same thing on my okra plants.
Soil mites are beneficial for your plant soil! U truly donât need to get rid of them!?đ€·ââïžPlease donât convince people to panic as if soil mites are similar the thrips or spider mites, and other pests similar to those!
How much time it take to give fruits
I've read at least 8 years, but I've seen different numbers.
The fastest way will sprout in 3-4 days. After soaking for several hours, peel the skin membrane and also open the skin covering the prospective roots. Then, put the potential roots on the seeds into moist Cocopeat. You don't need to cover them up, let the seeds show... then cover the container so that the Cocopeat remains moist. Place it in a bright place but not exposed to direct sunlight. In 2-3 days the seeds will change color to green and will germinate within 3-4 days (depending on the quality of the seeds). The second method is after the skin membrane is peeled, the seeds are soaked, the water content only half the body of the seed, don't let it sink.. the important thing is that the potential roots get water.. the seeds will burst after 1-2 days after they burst. Move them to cocopeat in the same way, place the potential roots facing down.. then cover the container so it's moist... deep within 4 days the seeds will start to sprout... from the results of my experiment... within a week 4 leaves will come out... Good luck... sorry for my englishđ€
Before using cocopeat, I sterilize it first by dousing it with boiling water... sterilize the container with alcohol and sterilize my hands with alcohol so there is no mold.
Great video! đ„°
Thank you!
What kind of soil?
Well-draining, rich soil.
