- How long does it take grass seed to sprout?
Here's a quick update about the WonderLawn Grass & Lawn seed I got from Dollar Tree. The grass started growing in 3 days even though it said on the bag to expect germination in 2-4 weeks.

I need to pick up some of that for some spots. That is really fast. I'm impatient, it's perfect for me 😁
I'm impatient too. I was not expecting growth this fast. Luckily it's been raining so I don't have to stay on top of the watering right now. Definitely pick up some bags. I'm surprised the DT I got it from hasn't ran out! It's like nobody bought any but me lol
Wow! That is amazing!!
I'm so excited!
We're on a 1/2 acre. I'm gonna need that in bulk. Lol 😆 Keep us posted.
😂 I can't imagine how many stores you'd have to go to get the right amount of bags you'd need! Lol I will. I have some ideas in mind I'll be sharing. Thank you for watching!
@@vesgardens Please do.
update on dollar tree grass?! I spend some in my yard but have no clue what it looks like once grown! lol 😂
I didn't take any videos like I should've, but during the fall/winter months it grew really well! It grows well in spring too, but on really hot days it'll start to die back. So not a good summer grass (at least not for me). I cover cropped some containers with this grass and it looks exactly like shown in the video, until it starts to grow taller, the blades will get a little wider. I like it! Hope this helps!
Mine didn't germinate after a week. It was dry when I put in but I did watered everyday. After 5 days it starts rauning now. Watching closely. I can see loose seeds all around. Halifax, Nova Scotia
I just put some more down a few weeks ago. Germinated fast. Grew fast. Started dying off once it started getting hot. When I put the seed down last time, I lightly covered it with top soil and tamped it down. Any seeds that weren't covered didn't germinate. You can also try pre-germinating the seeds. Fill a bucket with soil, mix the seeds in, moisten it and once you see germination, put it where you want.
@@vesgardensMany thanks..
any updates?
The grass plant at that time died. It does not like heat. I planted more when it started getting cooler and it's been doing really well. So, it's more of a fall, winter, early spring grass.
