After watching how you designed and Drew up this trailer, it reminded me 100% of myself. I do the same exact thing. You had a really nice result too. Way to go.
Thank you
i was told never to use anti -siize on lug studs .

What is the part number of the TPMS sensor?
Stop the video at 0:26 seconds, the part number is written on the bag.
Great Job 👌 Do you have plans for chassis build?
Thank you, I don't have chassis plans.
Did you use sealant or butyl tape to bond the walls to the cage or did you screw directly into the frame? 0:14
I screwed the wall panels straight to the frame with no sealant. I did put caulking on the roof panels before screwing them. I did this because I don't care about water intrusion (I pressure wash the inside of my trailer from mud after each trip). I would definitely add sealant or butyl tape if you don't want water to get in.
Just brilliant !
How much does it weight ?
4500 lbs empty
How did you get the 12 inch distance between tandem and centre of mass of trailer?
It was an assumption that I made. Some trailers are built so that 60% of the total length is in front of the axle (in this case the trailer is 120" long so, 60% equates to the axle being 12" behind centre of mass). But, it could be any value that you want in your design.
thank you for shearing your knowledge and expertise. Please keep up the good work. Your content is very much appreciated!
Thank you
if you build it in metric you can do the maths in your head in about a second instead of doing all that findley diddly imperial nonsense 😂
Hello! Tell me please, what transfer case do you use?
atlas 4 speed
Great video George. I'm going to have to inspect mine. I haven't seen any cracks yet.
Thanks Brad, I think the added weight on the back of yours might be helping reduce the pin box weight on the truck. But it might be worth keeping an eye out for cracks.
Great Trailer build...Is this something I can build using a Flux-core Mig Welder? I'm new to welding and wanted to build a small trailer similar, minus the gate. Thanks
Thanks, sure you can use flux core mig welder, just make sure you get good welds and good penetration with the right welder settings for the steel thickness. I built my first trailer with a flux core welder.
Great build! What did you use to paint with?
Thanks, just regular brush on rust paint from the hardware store.
Awesome! Thank you! I’m working on a enclosed setup with a rooftop tent on top
Looks amazing can you give the information how to buy that materials and cost I start building my in I Will love to know where to order tha metal sheets 😊
Hi ! I need advices, Two 3500 lbs axles landscaping trailer 81 inches by 16 ft to be build . Am trying to avoid bad handling on the road , poor axles alignment, and bad load distribution. I wonder if the 60% rules is accurate, if I have to take the mesurement from the front of my frame or from the coupling point? Any better ways to find the optimal place to weld my suspension blade supports? Thanks in advance!
The 60%/40% deck rule is not always accurate. But it is ok for general use trailer. The measurement is taken from the front of frame (deck), not from the trailer coupling point, to the middle axle bracket from where the suspension equalizer is located. So, 60% of deck length is in front of axles and 40% behind the axles. Make sure the deck is squared and that the axle brackets are exactly at the same location on both sides and the trailer will track straight. For proper load distribution, make sure to front load the trailer first. If your tow vehicle can handle the added hitch weight, you can located the axles at 70%/30%. To get the exact optimal axle location, there is calculations that can be done (see the first video in this series), but those calculations assume the load is at the same location on the trailer deck all the time.
Do you have a materials list?
Wow. Very impressive. Jealous
Watched all 8 episodes. Loved it! wish I had your skills, I would have like to see a cost breakdown and a blueprint.
Don't forget that tool axis straight line to get a socket onto each manifold bolt. Good work.
that was a great job on that trailer I wish I was bless to do something like that with that said is it possible that I can have you build one for me . Thanks RG Sabat
Thanks. Unfortunately I can’t build one right now.
if so when will you be ready to do one I also would like to know about what would you charge to do a 30 ft gooseneck for me thank you for getting back to me most company would not call people back? @@rgsabat forgot in your video what did you used for insulation.
Nice! Welding the safety chains on is not legal in all states.
Did not know that. Thanks for letting me know.
@@rgsabat I am from WA state and they don't allow any form of welding chain links, probably an issue from shady logging truck accidents from way back. They do allow sliding a rod, shaft or other means through the link and weld that to the frame just not the links themselves, eliminating any possible chain link repairs. I love working with box tubing on trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, etc so I enjoyed seeing your trailer, well done. I typically shy away from 45 corners and usually cap the long rails then use same length cross members with 90 ends, much easier to keep all of the dimensions dead on.
Very cool.
Great video 👍

Congratulations what you have achieved !!! Love it!
Excellent videos, thanks!
2×4 box steel for top rail would have been a lot better.
Mount spare tire on right side or curb side of trailer in front or behind fender will leave room in front for storage box 📦. One more thing to think of trailer jack will hit your tail gate of your truck make a set back mounting plate . In the a frame .that will work perfectly. 😂😂😂
WOW! VERY NICE WELL BUILD 👍 TRAILER. I WANT ONE 😂😂😂😂. How much.
Great idea! I’m going to start building something like this
Very nice indeed !
Gorgeous welds !
Do you know the thickness of the almunium sheet?
0.040"
@@rgsabat does it leak in winter in rainy days or snow? the outside roof is flat? Does it leak? and have you ever thought about insulating the inside with spray foam for cold winter?
@@hunterpaintingsforsale5067 I put caulking at the roof seems, it does drip a little in a few spots, but that is not a concern to me since everything is metal inside, except the wooden workbench. I raise the front end of the trailer when it is parked to let the water drip at the back. I normally tow this trailer with my slide-in camper in the truck bed, so there is no need for me to insulate it, but it could be done.
This is a great idea. I hate the idea of spending $300 plus just a piece of metal premade
Thanks, plus this gives a couple more inches between the camper jacks and rear fenders of the truck, compared to the premade fold-out brackets.
Great videos, but you don't see you doing any work, welding, cutting.
You make it look so simple 😭
Would a 2015 F150 be the same sensor or style of sensor?
They should be all the same style, at least it would be a similar procedure to change it. Just make sure to get the right part number.
Most sensors are 315 mhz but in 2020 ford changed their sensors to 433 mhz
Looks more like a landscape trailer great job
Have you considered adding structural foam sheathing to the outside of the framing?
I don’t need the foam for what I use the trailer for, but it would be easy to add if someone wanted to.
@MrBlack is correct. Also, they shouldn't be so expensive... there is literally nothing to them. Just like dry sump pumps. We are being screwed - big surprise :O\ Thank you for the video. You RoCk!
Nice! It looks like a T10 torx to get the screw out.
Hi there. What is the screen definition ? 720p or 1080p ?
1080p
The story of my life; dizzy off, drop the pump shaft, leaking pan gasket. And now I too have weak oil pressure. I may have to go the Kaase route. Cutting the filter to verify if any metal is in the filtering element, and hopefully go from there.
Beleza 👍👍👏
