I lost engine oil pressure | Kaase oil pump upgrade

In this video, I discuss how I managed to save my engine by closely watching the oil pressure and shut it off, as soon as I saw the oil pressure go to zero. I then upgraded to a Jon Kaase aluminum oil pump.

The story of my life; dizzy off, drop the pump shaft, leaking pan gasket. And now I too have weak oil pressure. I may have to go the Kaase route. Cutting the filter to verify if any metal is in the filtering element, and hopefully go from there.

Been there, done that.
Put my 302 distributor in 180 degrees off (TDC exhaust stroke) and couldn't figure out why all the backfiring....Oops!

Also, those 385 BBF oil pumps are big cast iron 'tuning forks'.
