One make sure you have to com port sharing software installed and set correct To make the date and time go over zello go to comport check the box for dtr Make sure you have the btext on and set to 15 minutes also make sure you have the comport on the right com port

@@JDubbsadventure yea I have everything on the right comport. I noticed the dtr wasn’t checked when I looked. It just seemed like the beacon was going off every 45 minutes instead of 15 like it should. I have it set on 15 minutes. I will look at it again. I have another question,I have my repeater in the building and since it is hot right now the fans are constantly running . Thought about putting it in my basement but I would have to run around 100ft or so of cable from the antenna. Will it bother it being in the heat like that. I also drilled so holes in the top of the cover so the fan would hit right where it gets hot. I think the temperature probe is detecting the heat of the building.

@@user-dm4wq3xj9d I think you’re talking about reversing your low and high side? It’s not gonna hurt your radio short term. The only reason to do it is you believe there labeled wrong

Iv had great luck with customer service. They just replaced a charging cable for me on my 1500 unit for free. The reason for the one plug is I believe that’s the 240 unit in the video that’s the 300

Wrong. This is an ongoing problem that we noticed when mowing on the farm. Not using repeaters and several miles apart. There’s a full length video I’m doing showing this and another problem this radio has.

It takes some playing with that’s for sure

@@mrcummins3 the mic doesn’t work when in repeater mode it will key up for half a second then cut off.

Sorry to bug you but it seems you are pretty into this set up. I'm new to all this and Upon playing with mine more, I can only get a half mile or mile from my house before I loose voice feedback. I can talk with my handhelds miles longer than this. Thoughts on where to start?

Iv never heard you “cant” use lead in your house is it maybe not advisable? Yes but whether or not you’re allowed to isnt the question. There’s houses in my town that still have lead solder holding the copper pipes together. An id be willing to bet I can find lead pipes. Watch the first 1:20 seconds again an it tells you why you can’t use 50/50

Ok let’s unpack. 1. My FT-991 only uses 15-16 amps at 100 watts so a 50 watt should be around 7-10 amps just based off the math. Also my icom 7000 is 75watt uses 9 amps 2. 2.0 is a larger channel so a lot of what is sent to him is cherry picked. That’s just how CZcams works and dealing with companys. There’s a lot of reports of the radio tx watts being 25-65 watts so there all over the place right now. 3. If you use for example 10amp power supply then it would trip/ blow a fuse if the radio pulls to many amps 4. A higher amp power supply will not put more “power” into the radio so your comment of “the right power supply….” Is moot. Iv tried this setup with 3 30 amp (like the video showed) and 1 50 amp. With no change. They pulled the same amperage on the 30 and the 50 amp supplys 5. I use 3 meters to check swr and power levels as long as they all match then that’s close enough for this small test I’ll use my fluke 196c next time. 6. I love these radios and recommend them all the time but I will show you the truth on them. there not perfect but there good enough for this job. So no one is calling it an “underachiever” 7. This was the first video on this radio as a repeater so this is one of the first samples so maybe they have gotten better.
