Hey Big Dawg, do your homework about ferrite beads, you will clear up your system immediately and they are cheap insurance... Also, research "chokes", you'll probably want to install one before you antenna connection and one before the radio. These will ensure you're pushing all your available power out of that antenna, and since you've only got 6 watts, your range will show an increase. CZcams is your friend for these suggestions, love what you have going on, have a great day...

I was wondering if ferrite beads would help I have some in order to try. Isn’t a choke normally for HF? This setup is vhf/uhf
