good info
Thanks
Awesome brother whenever I get my house finished I definitely want to set something up like this!
Works awesome no issues
i would suggest adding a fan directly on the heat sink of the radio. the one on top of the rack is great, but youll need more air flow to the radio. great video.
If you noticed on the screen it said “It doesn’t get any hotter than 105 degrees on a 95 degree day”. That is very acceptable for the RA87.
@@Jason-gc7vv yes i saw that. remember, these radios, i have several alinco dr135 for aprs, and winlink. they are not 100% duty cycle. be watchful for the magic smoke.
I have the same setup you have and noticed that with programs especially the date and time keys up the repeater and the beacon software doesn’t do every 15 minutes like it should. Now what I did was just use the date and time and set my beacon on that and turned the date and time off. Now it just goes across the repeater and not Zello. Tell me what you think about me doing it this way. Also I turned my rx radio down to low and left the tx in high. Let me know what you think.
One make sure you have to com port sharing software installed and set correct
To make the date and time go over zello go to comport check the box for dtr
Make sure you have the btext on and set to 15 minutes also make sure you have the comport on the right com port
@@JDubbsadventure yea I have everything on the right comport. I noticed the dtr wasn’t checked when I looked. It just seemed like the beacon was going off every 45 minutes instead of 15 like it should. I have it set on 15 minutes. I will look at it again. I have another question,I have my repeater in the building and since it is hot right now the fans are constantly running . Thought about putting it in my basement but I would have to run around 100ft or so of cable from the antenna. Will it bother it being in the heat like that. I also drilled so holes in the top of the cover so the fan would hit right where it gets hot. I think the temperature probe is detecting the heat of the building.
J-Dubb, are you using the free Zello or the business version Zello, and what version of Windows are you running in the mini PC?
Free version
Windows 11 also works with windows 10
Thanks for watching
Thank you @JDubbsadventure for accepting me on the Zello WRUC623 from Plattsburgh , NY
No problem
Highly doubt you could make a Simplex node for murs users like myself then again nobody's even heard of that or even uses it to begin with anyways the only way to do that is to connect a link like that for murs use
You could easily do that as long as the tyt9000d (2m version) will cover 151-154. I’m not sure since don’t use that one. I’m unsure if anyone uses murs over the internet or if you’re even allowed to. that’s why I didn’t count that band in my video… that said you could do it as long as the radio will cover that frequency I have no control over that
Hey from Tim WSBX591
Howdy Tim thanks for watching
@@JDubbsadventure My repeater swr is 4.0. @ 40 watts. New antenna and cable. I gotta check without duplexer.
@whizardmagicstreaming2369 that’s way to high 1.0-1.7 would be acceptable. Anything over 2 cut it off that’s how you burn it up.
Can you post the link for the boards? Please and Thank you.

But is it legal?
Legal? The fcc doesn’t make laws only rules. Yes, you can put repeaters online and link them together. As you can use the internet to control a repeater. There are thousands of linked repeaters all over the world. My local 220 repeater is linked to Europe.
But I urge you to do your research call your agency and ask questions.
