Lucas visited Japan before making Star Wars, this included Sunrise studio who had not had much luck in getting their new anime aired: Mobile Suit Gunda. So Gundam preceeds Star Wars who btw also stole from Space Battleship Yamato.

Guyver I feel has more in common with Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue. Since Kamen Rider Shin has the only body horror transformation, and he fights enemies that can do the exact same thing. And there is plenty of limb cutting and blood to go with the more gritty nature.

When they made a big deal about the Gundam because it uses bits, and then almost immediately showed a mobile suit doing the exact same thing without batting an eye, I lost most of my interest. The show just didn't put in the screentime to explain the context of the setting for me to care.

I think they need a conflict that is unmeasurable like a faction of a company that wanted revenge for what the council. So they secretly had spies in every company there is take pieces of their technology and made a literal fighting force of those who were sick and tired of corporations. And believed that the rebel faction on Earth were not being aggressive enough, so they took the third level drive with the robot dolls and made their own strike team and they're attacking the earth and the plant companies for not allowing Earth people to be free.

I love crossbone Gundam. I really hope it’s get an anime or OVA adaptation. Also, one of my favorite mobile suit is Infinite Justice. I love the beam emitters on the legs, the backpack, and versatile shield.

i was tryign so hard to find this show, both it and the movie, it was so hard when it falled into the power ranger category that it got buried, but i recall it how brutal it was.

Gundam Wing was my first introduction into the Gundam Franchise. (Thank you TOM and Toonami ) Endless Waltz was my first ever anime movie that I watched. As a kid i loved the anime and it was my favorite. As a 34 year old adult that just did a rewatch, I can fully say it is far from flawless and maybe my tastes have changed, but I still stay for someone who has never watched any gundam before it is a safe place to start.

I can't agree with the color theory. Have to feel like we're WAY in the midst of "the royals" so colors go wherever they please. The "general armies" are one thing, but when you're dealing with "the king's experimental machines he's handing out at his will," and in the center of all that on each side, there isn't gonna be any consistency. And honestly, shouldn't be. Even kids can follow along pretty darn well without the obvious cues. The other stuff can go either way. The external media made it clear the trio was supposed to wnd up on the same side. How we got there....... even had me feeling like i missed 50 episodes... And I can usually get behind most rides lol

An interesting side note about the color decisions in CE is that as far as im aware PS armor can have its colors changed easily so they could have changed that shit all willy nilly in destiny eventually to stick with an armys theme.
