Had the improvement in dubbing we saw in the 00s continued there wouldn't be a debate on subs vs dubs today.
Honestly in the end most of these companies that do this to anime and manga are doomed. The creators of these works will pull there ips so fast from these companies it make there heads spin so fast in the process throw the hack editor’s and writers out the door.
Tbh you don’t need to even be a professional artist or editor to comment on how trashy this is.
Breaking the character from something into something else to align with your beliefs is truly disrespectful as you said.
It’s like trying to so hard to insert yourself into that character who is insertable, and the creator didn’t want any of this.
