Pretty cool. They're doing the original 1968 arrangement of the song from PROMISES, PROMISES by Jill O'Hara and Jerry Orbach, which was performed before any of the better-known hit versions that were released a year or so later.

What a wonderful interpretation-Douglas Sills and Rebecca Luker were such a fun pairing for this. Thanks for posting and also Thank you @princeandrey for the beautiful poem and its bittersweet tribute to Rebecca Luker- a true talent.

I was at the final audition for the Broadway show Rex. In the theater there was Richard Rogers and Sheldon Harnick. The stage manager asked what I was singing...I told him "I have Dreamed" He said"well you'll be the most right or wrong person today" I sang my heart out knowing Mr. Rogers was sitting in the dark of the theater listening to me. They asked me to stay!!!! He liked me. They had a quick Tudor dance number with the rest of the singers. I didn't make the cut. But it was truly one of the most exciting moments in my life

This is my favorite song from the show. Actually, I love all of them. Everyone was fabulous, especially Mr Sills and Christine Andreas. I saw both the original product and the second one, and even though I liked both for me, the first one was the better version. Wish it would be revived.

I knew Sutton in La Jolla during this moment she describes where she 'stepped' into the shoes as 'Millie'. I saw her very 1st performance as 'Millie' and, of course, it was electrifying. I was at the Opening Night Cast Party and she is absolutely as nice and as genuine as she appears here. She most certainly IS the 'real deal'! 💘
