I post works from my favorite composers, with brief background information and analysis!
I'm also a composer and pianist, and those are now in a separate channel, which you can see in the channel's main page.
I upload videos in English, but I also know Korean, Japanese, Spanish, French, and Chinese, so I can answer your comments even if you write yours in that language.
I'm a human, and I could make mistake from time to time. If there's something wrong, weird, or missing in any of my videos, don't hesitate to comment or email me, and I'll correct it.

Wow
The organ solos at the beggining are so haunting especially with the interjections in the brass section randomly! What a cool piece even from just the first few minutes! Great upload!
can you give me the full score ?
It's in copyright, so I cannot give it to you. But there are plenty of libraries out there with the score. www.classicalondemand.com/products/collected-works-vol-6-vocal-symphonic-works (Collected works in 24 volumes; Vol.6 - 1991 Muzgiz or other reprints)
I’m a cellist-so commenting about the cello part, it’s honestly not as bad as Prokofiev’s later revisions but it’s still tough! Also considering that it feels like parts of music loosely threaded together, the musicality could be a little tricky.
Ce compositeur n'est pas assez connu. L'orchestration vaut le coup, et les motifs mélodiques lui sont très personnels. J'adore !
Where can I find the score?
Due to copyrights, you probably won't find it online (I don't know if anyone uploaded it to scorser or anywhere, since Khachaturian's works are in copyright everywhere in the world till 2029 or so). You can find it in this collection (www.amazon.com/Concert-Works-Piano-Schirmer-Schirmers/dp/1423490193/ref=sr_1_4?crid=31737SEGG126M&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.KvVBM-yoYsej3TZ-gEuYf20_E3pQq3TNFE6UtbVOd0mTMKVZiSPECaub_fWMP13p5igKRsktx6ZAcOJkgmObhnVBo5D-_r2DMX_8TPlmL6KwXVOkXZat2r6maXk2DIN1QyMCaHFLy5eBXr7H5iG5z2NJhlUuI5kw4i0i4LFhhpKRksWfiCnEZum38EgZwM-CIhi56NzSMn1WyMosijJzVNYlra38ldMD47ZuTfz37WU.nmx-kYA52QdVaWiQicxCRFKihZOn6917Zhebc0tbWAE&dib_tag=se&keywords=khachaturian+piano&qid=1720248373&s=books&sprefix=khachaturian+piano%2Cstripbooks%2C137&sr=1-4)
@@Signore_S Ok, thanks!!!❤❤
Wow.....and to think that I just Liked it....and that was All......I feel so Stupid! BRAVA from Acapulco!
@@Signore_S 공감합니다. 개인적으로는 또, 설명란에서 사용하신 표현과도 같이 신포니아 콘체르탄테가 첼로 협주곡보다 more coherent하다는 표현이 정말 적절하다고 생각합니다.
This is such a good piece. So interesting to see the score, especially all the composer's directions. Thank you for posting it.
fantastic pianist
I love Prokofiev
This a great work. I have listened to this piano concert since almost 30 years, from time to time I listen to it. I have always wanted to get the full set with "partichelas" for each individual instrument. I already get the two piano score. Can you tell me where can I get the full set score with partichelas, I can buy it if necessary.
It was published by Kistner & Siegel in 1913, and unfortunately, I don't know where I can get the parts for it. There should be a rental library somewhere with the parts. The full score I got is from (repertoire-explorer.musikmph.de/en/product/bortkiewicz-serge/).
I love the climax at 1:22 and 3:05 so much

I absolutely love this piece and hadn't heard this recording yet. Thanks for uploading it!

Love this concerto. Very interesting following the score. There's so much melodic, harmonic and rhythmic variety in it and although light-hearted, I'd also say it is deeply emotional. The 3rd movement here is taken at quite a pace.

Years ago, I transcribed the entire score from a recording using only a piano reduction so I’d have a MIDI accompaniment. This… would’ve made it a lot easier.

WOOHOOO!!
The begining sounds like the coda of Kabalevsky's 4th Symphony (the 1st movement), which is one of my favourite symphonies of all time and I would really love to see Kabalevsky pieces on this channel
Sorry, Kabalevsky symphony No4 1955-1956, Khachaturian symphony No2 1944.
I really like the contrast between the second and the last movement, great analysis!
This is one of the best piano concertos. Just that apocalyptic orchestral climax after cadenza in the 1st movement is enough to prove it.
love it
Thanks for sharing!
