Eu nunca vi o filme, mas deu pra sentir nos pelos da espinha o tamanho do pavor mais profundo e angustiante que acompanhavam essa música. Depois que eu fiquei sabendo do tema do filme, tudo fez sentido. Jonh Willians é simplesmente um dos maiores compositores de música clássica e PONTO.

The moment I saw the showers, I had a heart attack. With Itzhak Perlman's heart-wrenching solo, and with every note feeling like he made that shit PERSONAL, this track oozes with such despair and hopelessness it makes you just stop. What you're doing in that moment doesn't matter. You just stop. Masterpiece of a song. 10/10, to Williams, Perlman, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Even just listening to the music makes me cry. The absolute best and absolute worst of humanity are shown in this movie. It's Oskar's sheer anguish, sorrow, and regret in this scene that gets me. It's a level of compassion for his fellow man that I empathize with greatly.

It's terrifying how the soundtrack illustrates the progressive horror of how one must have felt when approaching Auschwitz. The eery violin solo at the beginning expressed the fear when the Jews approached the camp via the train. As the song progresses, the background bass amplifies the sense of fear as the Jews exit the train and approach the camp on foot. By the climax and end of the soundtrack, the soundtrack is at its maximum, expressing the horror of the Jews and the audience, as they enter the camp and experience the unimaginable cruelty and inhumane labour within the camp. John Williams delivers such an otherworldly, powerful sense of terror... It's frightening how talented he is as a composer.

The way the entire piece is discordant until around 2:36 is incredible. Powerful film, amazing music.
