The Schindler's List's crying ending scene.. you cannot not be moved by it.. the ring falling off and his panic to quickly find it....... the regret, shoulder crying... makes me feel like he was picturing himself standing before God feeling sorry for not using his wealth to rescue more... amazing.
I don't doubt this is an excellent score, but it's not his best work. This theme is up there but it lacks the Magic and immersivness such as Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, E.T. (which are much better scores in my opinion). It helps tell the story for Schneider's List, but it's not an iconic score like his other work. Star Wars will forever be John Williams' best work.

Saw this movie and history, thinking it was just going to be a neat little time capsule of a pretty sucky time on earth. I could not have been so wrong. This movie was so phenomenal that I've been craving to watch it again. Pretty ironic how a movie I was barely expecting anything from turned out to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long while.
save a life tonight...and remember, there are holocausts happening all around the world in silence, don't get caught up in the music... Schindler acted with no music and then music was composed for his actions.
This movie came out when i was 12 and my mom took me to go see it. Everyone said i was to young to see something like that but my mom said that nobody is to you to know the truth in history, I remember every detail from the first time i saw it. I watch it at least 2 times a week and listen to the soundtrack when im cleaning or just because. My kids are 3 and 4 and watch it with me and love the music. This music breaks and uplifts your heart at the same time.
Absolutely one of the best works I have been blessed to hear. The solo on the violin is actually taking you through the journey so much sorrow so much pain so much determination to survive and lament the on slot of innocent lives. It is about humanity and our struggle to make sense and understand what drives us to such atrocities and how we over come them. May God have mercy on us.
I saw this movie in the theatre when I was 14. I watched in total shock. When the credits rolled I wept uncontrollably. Hearing this song is haunting. What an important film to demonstrate the devastation of hate.
John williams is a genius. He channels sound reminiscent of polish and jewish european composers and the beautiful rendition of great horror and pain. I dont think anyone could write a more fitting soundtrack if they tried
This soundtrack is one of my favorite from John Williams; the movie is one of the best of Steven Spielberg and I hope to see it so soon; I can only say, this is so great.

hearing this music, I just ask: WHY? heartbreaking and making you regretful for all the pain in the world. let's stop this fight as human beings of the same earth, leaving the governmental issues behind.... "love" from turkey.
Because humanity as we know it it barely 80 years old, before the industrialization, antibiotics (the came pretty recently) and world wars (enabled by the tech), people's look on life and psychology was really different, only ww1, antibiotics, the rise of mass media and ww2 made us take the first step to actual civilization, before that you could easily say we where just fully tribal.
@@mkzhero Um... interesting theory, but i think the themes which dominate humanity and civilization can be found as far back as recorded history's beginnings. Read such works of fiction as the Epic of Gilgamesh, for example, and you will see the entire spread of human emotions and the eternal fight for our soul, between the forces of what we call "good" and "evil", which roughly correspond to self-centeredness (evil) and other-centeredness (pro-social attitudes and behavior - "good".).Nothing special happened 80 to 100 years ago except for some medical and technological advancements. Moreover, since WW2 there have been MANY very nasty wars - Vietnam, the war against the Islamic State, the horrors of Afghanistan and Syria, the insanity (American-backed, i might add) continuing in South Sudan and Eritria, the unfathomable atrocities of the genocide in Rwanda, the "ethnic cleansing" of the Tamil people - still happening - and so on. oh how this music perfectly fits in the movie. it's the saddest thing I have ever seen. but what made me emotional was Schnidler wished to save other people too.. he was a good man. may he rest in peace
I think this soundtrack suits the movie so well. It's a masterpiece. But also very, very heartbreaking. I really cannot imagine that suffering those jews, gypsies and all the other people the Nazis killed had to go through.
This is one of my favorites. On April 9th of this year, I was playing my first Bach cello suite(#1) This song was played on my local classical station right before I left. It was a good omen, since I did WAY better than I thought.
Feel the power of the violin ....the music ...speak to you about the holocaust .... the sweetness feeling of saving a person..close ur eyes and you see them faces ...hoping for life ...close ur eyes and u see the list and Mr Schindler saving lifes.....God what a masterpiece !!!!!
This says it all the haunting theme music combined with the horrific realism of what man is capable of brings me to tears every time, if you are not moved by either then you have no compassion or soul.
I watched this an hour ago, for the first time, and I'm only a 13 year old girl. This movie was sad, period. I cried so much at the end, right when Oskar Schindler said that he could have saved more. What he did cannot be expressed with words, a hero hidden in plain sight of the enemy. This movie captures everything that he did, and I would so very much like to give a round of applause to the cast and crew, but most importantly, to the survivors themselves. Now I have a crush on Liam Neeson...
I vaguely remember watching this movie with my father a while ago, maybe at the age of 7 or so...(19 now)..... watched it sunday just gone.... and my god the movie, the soundtrack, the impact of the girl in the red dress... the acting, the power of the whole movie..and Liam Neeson's performance at the end, when I cry over a family member dying or something really series... your jaw start to hurt as you want to just cry loud... and tears running down the face.... happened to me when i watched it.
The movie in itself made me cry so much I thought I could never open my eyes again, but these musics...They are just the most beautiful and heartbreaking ever.

Joel Ramirez every note is one dead
He was alone,
When he was twelve,
Only his thoughts, which he kept to himself
He didn’t have a place to play
A friend to call, or a word to say
But he had hope,
That one day he’d fly
Over the rainbow, up through the sky
He was alone,
He didn’t have much
And all that he had, he couldn’t touch
He lay awake,
All night through
This was his world, no one else knew,
Nothing to fear,
Nothing to hide,
Nothing but stars, to care as he cried
But he had hope,
That one day he’d own
A flashing white horse, to carry him home
And in his hand he felt a stone,
That’s all he had, and he was alone
But he had a wish,
That one day he’d fly
Over the wall, up to the sky
He was just one,
Who never grew old,
On a list of names, upon the road

I LOVE Schindler's List! It's one of my all time favorite movies, my favorite film from Steven Spielberg, and my favorite musical score from John Williams.
oh how this music perfectly fits in the movie. it's the saddest thing I have ever seen. but what made me emotional was Schnidler wished to save other people too.. he was a good man. may he rest in peace
many more people in Poland were saving Jews, but i bet nobody will make Hollywood movies about them.
listing this track again and again , cant control tears, but also listing and cried again:(
I think this soundtrack suits the movie so well. It's a masterpiece. But also very, very heartbreaking. I really cannot imagine that suffering those jews, gypsies and all the other people the Nazis killed had to go through.
What a masterpiece 😢😢😭😭
Thumbs up if you are here because of Julia Lipnitskaias performance
Perfect music to accompany Julia's performance...
Immer wieder Gänsehaut wunderschön diese Musik
Ja
This theme is my number one best theme for a film. It is just amazing how perfectly it fits to the film.
This is one of my favorites. On April 9th of this year, I was playing my first Bach cello suite(#1) This song was played on my local classical station right before I left. It was a good omen, since I did WAY better than I thought.
I get emotional every time I listen to this. At the end of the film it reduces me to tears. Heart rending and haunting 💔😢
Godfather
This says it all the haunting theme music combined with the horrific realism of what man is capable of brings me to tears every time, if you are not moved by either then you have no compassion or soul.
One of the most powerful pieces of music in movie history
this is such a great piece...
♥ Beautiful piece of music ♥
I watched this an hour ago, for the first time, and I'm only a 13 year old girl. This movie was sad, period. I cried so much at the end, right when Oskar Schindler said that he could have saved more. What he did cannot be expressed with words, a hero hidden in plain sight of the enemy. This movie captures everything that he did, and I would so very much like to give a round of applause to the cast and crew, but most importantly, to the survivors themselves.
Now I have a crush on Liam Neeson...
This music is so powerful it makes my heart heavy.
"The list... is life" Beautiufl music, thanks for posting this, John Williams a master!

Thumbs up if you are here because of Itzhak Perlman's amazing playing.
Großartig und enorm bewegend! Musik, die sich aus Traurigkeit formt!
Just wonderful.
The movie in itself made me cry so much I thought I could never open my eyes again, but these musics...They are just the most beautiful and heartbreaking ever.
If this movie moved you and if you haven't already, I recommend reading the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel.
The most beautiful piece of music
thanks man
