Really? I find the song to have an eerie sound to it, It's almost daunting and makes me pity the inhabitants of the land before the 1920's. The fall of the ottoman empire really wasn't that great for the middle east long term. It's a shame what happened and an even greater shame that tensions are still so inflated between the regions people.

this is why im glad i dont speak hebrew, german, or any other language than spanish and english, it lets me appreciate "foreign" music and songs for themselves. and this is a great song, with a great tune.
and i know im gonna get cruficied for this: i think the same for the nazi party anthem, excluding its the damn nazi party anthem, the song and tune are quite jolly, if it wasnt the anthem, i can totally see that being sung in bars everywhere as the "jolly good times bar song"
