The ears will always tell the situation. I only ever seen my rottweilers ears pinned back one time when he was younger and i had him on that puppy diet to make sure he knows not to overeat. That was the one and only time he ever tried to nip at me. Now fully grown, 5 years old and basically fluent in english and german. The ears dont lie.
