Please be careful when handling Chicken or any raw Meat. Making sure you already have the all of the ingredients out and ready for use. And good rinse is good, as germs can travel at the meat processing plant too. Unfortunately, they don't practice safer decontamination like back in the day.. It's easy to Cross contaminate going back and forth to get other food items, with raw meat on your hands. Ecoli Salmonella can spread to your whole household. Gloves are Helpful as well.. I agree with you. Also, a teaspoon of yogurt helps, too. We just went through this with our Red Hound Golden Retriever, and Boerboel Mixed Breed. Her belly is very temperamental, so we try to keep all we need available for her "surprises".
