- Here is a raw reaction of how my dogs react to a old friend child. Now for context I was really correcting anything I was mostly evaluating to see how rough they would get.

Kott imprinted with her when she and he was younger and absolutely remembers her. He remembers her scent so he is overjoyed to see her again. I would however tell kids never to hug a dog around the neck and especially from behind. Bird was doing multiple tongue flicks, side eyeing her, and Birds body went stiff trying to tell the little girl she wasn’t comfortable with the hugs.

That's what People don't understand about Rotties They will protect every child when they are Raised with Children from a Puppy to Adult Dog, But When you Haven't Had Any children Around A Rottie it is Completely different. Like Your Niece Has been Raised around your Dogs and it don't matter how many years it has been , Because They remember her Smell her Voice , it's Like they were Raised together. So Yes they are Going to be Very very Very Excited to see her and spend time with her . GREAT Video.

People who havenˋt owned a Rottie that was raised on love, with a firm hand - would not understand this. The people who uses Rotties as a working breed, understandably needs to have full control over them, and will sadly probably never see them as the loving breed they can be. I had my boy from age 10 to 23, and he was my youth, my upbringing, my whole heart. So i donˋt think the comments on here are wrong, itˋs just different perspectives. The whole exitement, them not getting more water because they will throw it up, and just wanting to be on her lap, not realizing how big they are, are sooo typical Rottie behaviour. I see a man who have full control over his dogs, without raising his voice, and understanding that the initial exitement will pass once they calm down. I bet 20 minutes after this video, they were both sleeping at her feet. One love, from Copenhagen.
So 1 year to a dog is 7 for us then every 52 days is a year for a dog which means every 4 1/4 of a day equals 1 month. Calculate how long it has been since they saw her will tell you why they are so excited to see her.

🤦🏾♂️🖤 I remember when I left twin city’s Minnesota & moved to KCMO 816 at 16 yrs old I had to leave my gurl “BLU” a female puppy Rottweiler and when I went back home to visit my family a year later she scared the living shhhyt outta me as I walked through the back gate she had got sooo big but when she noticed me she was just like these 2 Rottweilers VERY OVERLY HAPPY EXCITED GENUINE LOVE FOR ME 💯🙏🏾 R.I.P. BLU I buried her in my moms backyard in 2003

My Rottie greets the neighbors he knows. When my wife arrives or wakes up in the morning he does this to her and everyone. Unless someone comes to the house when we are not home. if that make sense? My wife doesn't like my Rottie because of this. He is 1 year old. I am looking for a home for him.

Thats dangerous bro. With dogs like this... you have to handle them. Instead you let the kid handle them. I am german, i have a 65kg heavy rotti my own and i understand that you think its alright, but it is not. You have no control over your dogs, you cant calm them, you cant advise them and you are not the one who controls that situation. The dogs do. And that can turn very bad really fast. I doubt you underestimate your dogs big times. Imagine they decide to kill the Postboy. Will you say calm down and let them ignore you? I doubt. Thats the bad behaviour of people owning rotties with no Club of their potential. They can easily hurt people by accident even by behaving so cute like these two do. Imagine a smaller kid or an old person. No one wants his dog to hurt somebody. In germany they would be forced by law to wear a muzzle and a leash all the time just for jumping on people. They would fail every test of behaviour for that breed and its not the dogs fault. Its yours bro. They are uncontrollable for you and that kid and you just let it go to "see what happens". We breeded these dogs to be precise, 100% reliable, efficient, intelligent, strong and unstoppable when going for a target we choose. But thats the clue! You have to choose the target, you have to lead, you have to train them. Otherwise they train you, they take the leadership and in bad ways, they choose the target. Do u live there? That’s not enough space for Rottweilers. If it’s just a vacation it’s nice, but..I know some say if u walk them enough, but that is really not enough, they can’t even lay down without blocking the whole way, and I think they r not even fully grown
Mine is always on my side, no matter how big the house is. When i am on couch, he is too. Am i in the garden, he is too. Not more than 3 feet away from me even haveing enough space to run around. At night he sleeps in his cage, big enough for him to crumble inside. I removed the gate but he likes this obviously. I dont think space is really an argument for this breed. Some others yes but a rotties bigest wish is to be on your side, most ideal in direct contact.
