Thank you for sharing this. Both of you are very inspiring. I'm waiting for Mr. Bibb to visit the south of Sweden. To watch him play live has been on my bucket list for quite a while. I just learned how to play one of his easier songs (Rocking chair). Can't wait to try some of the riffs in this video.
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching. Eric is great. A real individual. His guitar parts are really interesting. Have fun!!
An amazing interview with Professor Miller! At once a beginner and a master class! A true treasure. Thank you to you both.
Ah thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it!
For me, the best part of this interview happened at minute 19:00. "I've been so busy tending all the rooms exteriorly and trying to keep everything to look picture perfect and then you realize the room inside yourself is a mess, you know, it's like wow…that's where I need to work on…" Thanks for that!
That's a great piece of wisdom. Incredibly humble man. Eric's really something!
It's always a pleasure watching and listening to Dean Parks.
Sounding great as always Patti! 😀
Thanks Polly - from both of us!
Dean Parks is the ultimate studio pro. Great musician, very tasteful
The best interview with Dominic I’ve heard. Ten Summoner’s Tales is an absolute landmark album. My friends and I learned so much it, we were forensic about the parts.
Thanks very much for the kind words. Thanks for watching too!! Dominic is great - very thoughtful. This was a an inspiring interview for me. Cheers. Andy

Hi Great Interview maybe George Doering is the next.
You've got me thinking!! Thanks for watching!!
Thank you Andy this helps a lot
Ah that's great. There's a lot in there. Thanks for watching!
Cab still sounds better! But, not bad……
Definitely! There are quite a few options within the Ox app - EQ, speaker sims, etc. I think it's worth finessing it but it can't really match up. I think most people do a bit of work on the tone after recording....
@@AndyGJones Do you think the dynamics & oomph of the cab can be dialed in?
@@johncruz9357 I think you can get a really good sound but I think it needs finessing. I noticed that my Cornell 45/50 head (JTM45 kind of thing) sounds really good with a 4x12 or 2x12 sim in the OX but some of my other amps aren't quite as good. My 1967 Deluxe Reverb is very good thought the OX but nowhere near as dynamic as through its own speaker. I think the OX is a very good tool, possibly even an essential tool if you record a lot but it's worth experiment with outboard gear to bring as much life to it as possible. IMHO if you can't get feedback from the speaker, there's something missing! One thing I must say is that the video was done in a hurry as my buddy Cliff was passing by and I hadn't had the OX for very long. The effects in the OX app are powerful - I need to do experiment more with it. At some point I'll try and do a more considered video...
This really was an informative interview, as others here commented, and it's fitting to have this done with a musician this great. Fascinating to hear his approach in detail. One of the greatest compliments I ever got on my guitar playing was years ago, when listening back to a recording in the studio, and my bandmate said I had played a "Peter Frampton solo." I was very happy to have PF mentioned in any connection to my playing but it took me a while to understand why they'd said that. Basically, I'd improvised some arpeggios, which I then realized PF always did so beautifully, as opposed to simply running pentatonic licks as many of his contemporaries did (and as I often did on my own solos). FCA was one of the first records I heard as a kid when I was realizing I wanted to play the guitar. Even though it took me forever to learn to play, those gorgeous guitar sounds I heard at the start must have sank in a bit. Looking back it's amazing how special his playing is, especially compared to most other players of that era. I didn't realize that then, I just thought it sounded great. I was very fortunate to have been exposed to such wonderful playing early on.
Thanks for watching and thanks for your kind words. Peter is a hero of mine. I knew that he is an incredible musician but it was great to learn that he's as great guy too.
I've been watching recent videos and he obviously has a great sense of humor too. Thanks again for sharing an especially meaningful interview with him, musically speaking.@@AndyGJones

Great Interview! Thank you!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was really inspired by Dominic's insights.
Great interview. Matt is one of my all time favorite guitarists. It great to here his insights on approaches to music, gear, and guitar.
Thanks for the kind words. Matt is a great player and a thoughtful musician. It was fun to have a window into his musical world. Cheers!
It was a very interesting conversation. Personally, it was in some ways more interesting than Rick Beato's interview with Dominic. This is because in Rick's interview, Dominic is a bit more formal. This was good because I wanted to know more about how he coaches his band members and about the ECM engineers. However, I had to laugh at the part in the email from Pat Metheny. Dominic has had a great career but is completely unaware of it. I really like that about him. In front of Metheny, he seems to go back to his childhood when he first started playing guitar. It was really funny.
Ah thanks for watching and for the kind words. I really enjoyed this one - Dominic is an inspiring musician. I'm definitely going to watch this one again myself. If you like this interview, you might like the ones that I did with Jon Herington of Steely Dan, Eric Johnson, David Grissom and Oz Noy.
