For me, the best part of this interview happened at minute 19:00.
"I've been so busy tending all the rooms exteriorly and trying to keep everything to look picture perfect and then you realize the room inside yourself is a mess, you know, it's like wow…that's where I need to work on…"
    Thanks for that!

Yea great interview Im understanding some more of E's chords watching several channels like this
and there are some fantastic players with huge ears and touch because of how high my friend and mentor set the bar
I knew instantly in 78 and was picking two records out at my high school buddies house to play everytime I went there
he said Frey how come out of all these records you always pick just those two to hear
I said because nothing and nobody else plays or sounds like THAT.
So since they knew I loved Eric's music so much they took me to meet him and experience his light.
Im glad Eric came on I miss seeing him and being able to speak directly with him alone in person
hes my hero for life and I love him alot so I hope he knows how much he has touched this place which can be hard to be in.
But hes right you can emulate someone but thats not you its fine to study and get those chords and concepts under your pods
so you can grab them like he can but what are they what inversions where is the root or where was the 3rd he removed from any inversion...meaning I should know the why not just copy like a parrot but when something like that hits you
you gotta find out what it is and how come he plays no 3rds or those wide interval suspensions..
I asked him Hey do you know theory and his reply was great some but not enough to hurt me
I was asking if he read music and here he explains that his music teacher made them hear the intervals
he never told me that in the 30 + ive known him. But I knew he had training as a child so by 12 he already could play wipe out on piano with his toes.. not kidding but by then he heard Clapton and others which drew him to guitar.
Eric told me he liked Bill Evans on piano alot so I started listening to Bill because of Eric
which led to Miles and Coltrane Eric said he listened to other players but not so much guitar players
and that kept him apart from all the rest.
He even says here it forces you to work at not sounding just like the other person or the 10000000000 srv clones
Someone wise told me what are you gonna do when you find all this gear your chasing to sound like that lol
I said play my ass off and practice he said no I mean what are YOU gonna play why not YOU go listen or ask Eric who he listens too then draw from that so that is what I did I started learning Chet Atkins and found where he learned it from to learn how to do the sympathetic harmonics and chord melody... finding tabs or anybody that could show me or sell me books or print outs
to learn it myself and learn how to read music and take piano as 2nd instrument for the music classes..
to see and learn how to read music because I felt like id never get to my destination if I did not.
    Im still driving no worries...
Im right up the road from E now not but an hours drive id like very much to go see him
and for him to play my Dumble and ODSR amp we made as well to hear
the axe 2 and 3 ive setup inputting the voltages from his SSS #005 DUMBLE
Which only took since 96 to figure and confirm.
I used my ears and I know when the sound is there from standing in front of it 10000 nights in the audience at Erics shows live.
When your hair stands up and you get goose bumps and the air becomes electric.
thats the Tone or IT ive been chasing so perhaps I am at my destination and when the student is ready the master will appear.
Eric you should feel these amps right through the maple..
I sent the patch for axe 2 in 2017 but never heard anything back as I dont think he bothers much with digital modelers but
he might raise a brow in knowing axe 3 will record and match stem tracks so essentially
he could take his entire collection of master tapes and favorite amps and match every one of them
in one or two units and back it up and go front of house and play his entire catalogue with every amp he ever owned and every efx or cab or speaker and then some..
While the amps were at the finest sounding at that.
But what do I know im still driving....
he probably thinks whats the point been there done that im onto something else but
the fans would be the ones on their feet for it.
who would pay to hear all the original amps cabs speakers efx being played again front of house
being able to throw out any song in his entire catalogue ?
if you like that idea thumbsup or comment let the Maestro hear from you.
    I just did...
Hey Eric what cha doing ?
care to lease me a few hours at Saucer ????
ill keep it down to 500 questions per hour
    honest...
"Well get on top of that mountain top well find a way we can get bye in this life though it gets hard to know what to do
well find a way that we can get through and when it might happen to you the whole darned world starts to break in two
    well sing....."

EH USE MY ODSR WITH THE 335 ERIC OR THE ULTRA TO DO THE BLUEZ RECORD
AT LEAST TRY THEM THE ODSR IS #183 / WITH #0060 REVERB 100 Watts and
the Ultra is 50 with 6l6s...
both amps are 100% Alex voltages and parts the Ultra being original and the Hombre
being 1 of 1 made with those parts and specs.
I work for the head Texas Ranger of the Republic of Texas now learning constitutional law to help educate we the people.
say the word and ill bring the amps..
You can use them till the cows come home if they dont blow your socks off and float your ship
then you can use the marshall that sounds better.
    Did I mention #183 has el 34s ?
    HERRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOO
Its not SSS loud but it can be I can bring that also the 150 on 4X 12 D cab to spec
it needs isolation as on volume 3 it will herd cattle...
I wish to record them into my axe 3 and match them
and would book 3 hours at saucer if I could to get it done correctly...
I could then demonstrate what im on about by setting up my backline..
Did you think I was gonna give up ?
    never in my finest hour..
If the amps dont make you giggle ill eat my boots on the spot...
you can borrow them and use them id love that very much.
I just want to see your expression as you hoof the floor over that famous sound from yesteryear.
    let the fans vote
all ye in favor of hearing or seeing Eric do a shoot out between his favorite marshalls
and these Dumbles make a comment here.
let him know if you think
    ILL VOTE YES FIRST....
