The EAC already nuked any remaining hope for a federation when the DRC, Somalia and South Sudan joined, so including Ethiopia especially at it's current situation wouldn't help... which brings me to my next point, the insane amount of cultures in Ethiopia crammed into one nation doesn't seem to be working out well for them now so imagine them in a political federation with countries they have even less in common with...😬 Personally the EAC should've just been the first 5, the DRC is would be my next choice as it's literally sitting on resources worth more than the US and all Europe's GDP combined but there's nothing been done and they're in the middle of a war rn.
