Sensible of you to choose lovely food over lovely wine (I realised somewhat belatedly after piling on weight that I wasn’t counting the calories in the wine I was drinking with meals 😂). Remember after having a horrid virus to build up your activity gently, it will have taken its toll on your system and energy levels, you take care now xxx.

Good on you for losing a little, not the best though to go without food this weight will pop on quite quickly again, um something to do with the fat thingy in the blah blah I read about it years ago when people were doing the miss a meal diet, what a palaver this was, lol. That is really good news that you can still go out and enjoy yourself and still lose something as you say bodes well for maintaining weight. I too have had two days over and I was looking after a friend’s dog so was walking 5 miles a day and only lost half a pound ❤

Well done Annie on having lost any. Not being so mobile with the virus impacted your final weight. It is really exhausting and the tiredness is so real. Remember it's a long winter with probably no treats as in going out for celebration. Enjoy it now you are being sensible so hang on in there lovely. You are toning up nicely. I am still wearing baggy tops and I am 3 and 1/2 stone lighter. No intention of buying a new wardrobe , just a few things to go out in , at home baggy tops. One exception. New underwear was bought which really made me happy. My old bra which you could carry a bowling ball in is no longer in use. So keep smiling its all good .

Great that you didn’t put any weight on and still managed to lose 1/4 lb. Well done. Glad you are better💕

Yes, I grew up wearing hand-me-downs as well. I started sewing at age nine and started sewing my own clothes at age 12. My grandmother was a seamstress so I grew up watching her sew.

Thank you I have already found you all on Discord it’s great. I wrote the introduction on CZcams as I’m trying to gather the courage to start posting some videos about crafting with a chronic illness. I’m hoping to get my Shopify shop running but it’s so hard. It’s a whole different level of time management when you don’t know how your going to feel from one day to the next 😂

Really appreciated comments about your upbringing. So many of us were raised in tough times where you didn’t get new clothes because of a tear or you outgrew them. Clothes got mended and you got hand me downs - it makes you more thrifty throughout your life.

What kind of backing do you use? It’s Beautiful

Interesting to see what you get. Absolutely loved that blue feather trim (I'm thinking Ann Wood style corvid) & the velvets. Loved the colour & eclectic mix, but too many stretchy fabrics for me. Also, I did frown about the number of stringy bits included. But ideal for a rag-rug, and to be fair the website does explain how small the scraps actually are in their product description. Ta for posting.

Oh they look amazing. I used to do workshops with a lady called Jenifer Trollop and she always had couture scraps from France which were amazing. I always bought a few. Love that blue bead trim very much! I expect the ‘plastic’ bags are cellophane which is cellulose from trees so sustainable, especially as they sound very crinkly.

I’m starting to sew small scraps of fabric together to hopefully create a coat of many colors but I also want to make pants.
