I really appreciate the idea of a new form yet not new...incorporating other forms of art into slow stitching ❤
Thank you Annie for another rabbit hole, sorry I meant video 😂 you come up with brilliant ideas and ones which I always think we can all have a go at. This looks exciting when you think of fabric and stitch. Looking forward to seeing this develop.
Thank you Carol, I know you love a rabbit hole as much as I do - we should start an Alice club! I've done some more doodling experiments, will be sharing those soon, and planning to start the stitching project next week, as I now have all the fabrics that I'll need ready to go :)

I'm so glad that CZcams recommended this video. I loved it. Your enthusiasm and beautiful work are so inspiring. I'm itching to start drawing some millefiori now! Many thanks.
Thank you Bridget, that's very kind of you, I'm so happy you enjoyed it - I have a new and improved millefiori doodling video coming very soon, then I'll be starting on the slow-stitched rendition of it next week, I have some fabulous fabrics ready to go :)
As Klimt is one of my favorite artists, I did get some of the fabric when I saw it. Keeping it for THE good project. Love those doodles and prefer the black background which make the colours show so well. You are so very inspiring. Thank you!
Thank you so much Denise for the lovely comment and I'm glad you feel inspired. I can SO relate to saving that fabric for that special project!! :)
Ooo how wonderful Annie. When I was little, I used to love seeing my mum's milllefiori necklace in her jewelery box. I've no idea what happened to it. Klimt's work is wonderful. You've really inspired me & I'm looking forward to the 'live' on Saturday 😁
Thank you Anita, I'm really happy you like it, ah such a shame you don't have your Mum's necklace, I bet it was beautiful, I love those millefiori beads so much, even the feel and sound of them :)
Hi Annie, Your video popped up on my recommendations this morning, you had me at millefiori, I have loved for a long time and enjoy watching how the glass artists put it together. Your idea is brilliant and I am looking forward to catching up on the process you have made so far, best wishes Chris from Kent
Hi Christine, welcome, I'm very happy you found me and I hope you'll find lots more to enjoy - I love sharing ideas and inspirations, it really adds to the fun of it all. Oh yes, millefiori is just so beautiful and I thnk can be interpreted in lots of different ways and art forms can't it? I've only done two videos on this so far, next one is due middle of next week - I'm having so much fun with it. btw you are welcome to join our free Discord community and/or FB group if you haven't already, they're great places to connect and share ideas with like-minded people. Linktree is in the description box :)
Oh Annie! I have been in a wee bit of a rut with my art and this sparked my imagination in a very awesome way! I adore millefiori (I pronounce it the same way). It would be easy for me to bring a sketchbook and a set of WC pens to work and doodle when it's not busy. So fun! I've a beautiful paper weight that Don bought me in Italy that has millefiori in it. I could start by drawing and painting that. Thank you, once again, for giving me some much needed inspiration, dear friend! Looking forward to Saturday's livestream! Love and Bless xoxoxo
Thanks Lindsey, I'm glad you like the idea - ah those paperweights are so beautiful and how lovely that Don bought it for you in Italy, I bet that it has lovely memories attached to it. I'd love to see your millefiori masterpiece :)
Fascinating information Annie, wonderfully inspiring video,I had a bracelet as a child with these designs wish I knew where it went! Would love to see how you paint your pebble weights...pleaseeee!thank you for sharing and by the way congratulations on your dietary journey, you were always beautiful inside and out anyway...xx
ah thank you so much Gabrielle for your lovely comment - and I'll be back with the pebble weights very soon :)
Beautiful! I've also loved millefiori for ages. Your paintings are so colorful and fun.
I have a couple of painted paper mache objects made in India, a chunky bangle bracelet and a makeup compact lid both densely covered with tiny painted flowers. It's a similar concept. I know you'd love it, too!
I can't wait to see what you do with your fabrics. ❤
That does indeed sound like something I would love too - I will be starting on the stitching project very soon, almost ready now :)
Looks amazing!
Thank you very much :)
Oooh that's beautiful I've done it with polymer clay canes but not doodling must give it a go xx
Thanks Jacquie - I messed it up during the live by using wrong supplies and had to start again after, but I have the hang of it now, it's quite addictive. I thought I might do some Fimo canes to make miniature plates with, just need a few more hours in the day, where does the time go? :)
Annie I love it 🙂 I might just be able to manage this fingers crossed ✨ see you sat. More rabbit holes
Thank you Diane - after messing it up during the live, I've had another go, planning to share a new and imporved method very soon if you're up for it )
Don't they look amazing and fun yo do ❤
Thanks Karen - I've worked on the doodling method a bit more, since the live disaster :) planning to share that soon, I'd love to see your take on this idea, I know you would do an amazing job :)
Have fun 🎉. 😊
Thanks Hildegard! :)
Hi Annie, I didn't know that the paperweights etc I collect are called Millefiori. We went to a Murano glass factory
Oooh I bet that is a beautiful collection Pauline and how wonderful to visit the Murano factory, what an experience! :)
Love it 🩵
Thank you very much Isobel :)
