Absolutely fantastic and I love the length, I think it would look great with a close fitting tee or vest top under it. You’re brilliant Annie just brilliant. x 💐
OH thanks so much Jen, that's really kind of you, and a great idea to wear a close-fitting vest under, that would avoid the bra-strap showing as well and it means I can wear it in the cooler weather, perfect! :)
Annie I think you should apply to the Sewing Bee! A very exciting top! Well done😍💕
hehe thanks Liz - I always love the transformation challenge the most on GBSB! I couldn't cope with the time pressure though, I don't know how they do it! :)
@@artyfartyannie me neither it would take me far too long and then it wouldn’t be that good😂
Wow wow wow Annie! Another amazing creation from the House of Arty Farty! 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
hehe House of Arty Farty, love it! Thanks Christine :)
These ideas are fantastic a real inspiring kick on the butt for me to transform stuff I don't wear any more xx
Thanks Jacquie, I'm so happy you like them - I can't stop now I've started and I've got a sneaky side-eye on John's wardrobe as well! I think I'm going to make a whole series of Frankenstein tops, and maybe even tackle some bottoms as well :)
I like your top very much! You're so creative! Wonderful job done. Thank you for sharing this. I've never done this kind of remaking clothes into something new, but I have used my husband's shirts and silk ties in quilts and slow stitch projects. I find it very satisfactory to give old cloth a new life. 😊
Thank you so much Ada, I'm glad you like it. I'd love to get hold of some ties to upcycle you don't see them so much in charity shops these days and when you do, they're not as cheap as they used to be, but I always look out for them just in case. I'd love to see some pictures of your upcycling slow-stitched creations :)
Loved the makeovers…..yes ECLECTIC is perfect…..the batik is striking …..very BOHO vibes….
Thank you Sherry, I was unsure of the pattern mixing, but happy with it in the end, and I'm definitely a boho hippy chick at heart, so thank you for that :)
Omg Amazing Annie there is no end to your talents. Thank you for sharing with us 🙂✨
Ah thanks so much, I'm glad you like it, thanks for watching :)
Yes its beautiful and creative. The straps you can definitely put on as it will complete the look. I think your body shape is loving and cute, so no diet needed. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much Beatrice, how sweet of you to say that, I think I will add some lace to the straps :)
Simply genius!
Ah thanks Darla, that's really kind of you :)
How wonderful! Gaby has such talent.
hehe I think you might have left this comment on the wrong video Anita? :) xo
Whoops! 😂 xx@@artyfartyannie
Wow Annie!! Another beautifully creative, one of a kind stunning top! 😍👏 just gorgeous and a real transformation. Sewing bee in your future I think!loving these videos so much I can’t tell you how much you’ve inspired me, I’ve been getting things that sadly I no longer fit into and trying to make them wearable again - it’s so therapeutic! Thank you! 🥰xx
Thanks soo much, I'm so happy if I've inspired you - are you going to share some pics of your makeovers in the Discord community, I'd really love to see, we can inspire each other :)
Oh Annie it’s beautiful! You are so clever with amazing foresight ☺️🩷
Thank you so much Jan! 😊That's very kind of you - but honestly, though it may seem that way, in fact I imagine something and then I either get lucky and it turns out just as I imagine, or if not I just go with the flow and make it up as I go along. I'm very happy that you like it, thanks for watching :)
BEAUTIFUL! You did an amazing job🥰. Love your choice of fabrics... keeping the blue worked very well. So clever! CONGRATS💕
Thank you very much, thanks for watching :)
Love batik fabric turned out well
Thank you so much Karen, I so love that batik fabric, I might make some trousers next ...
It’s incredible to watch your creativity unfold - very clever lady - and you are looking great, the weight loss is showing - well done!! ❤
Than you so much Alison, and thanks for watching :)
I thought the previous redone top was cute but this one tops (see what I did there?) it. It reminds me of the things Stevie Nicks wore!
Wow, thanks Rachel, that's really kind of you, I'm so happy you like it. Haven't worn this one outside the house yet because I still have that hem to finish! :)
This is brilliant Annie, another fantastic video ☺☺
Thank you Chantelle :)
Love the hanky hems looks great on you wow what a lot of work.
Thank you so much Doris - mind you, I haven't actually finished hemming those yet, it's a looooooooooong way around that hem :)
That top turned out gorgeous!!! You really have a vision Annie and blue is your colour. Wonderful project , love it!!! ♥️
Thank you so much Gaby, I'm so happy you like it xo
That is such a beautiful work. So well done and you look beautiful. It suits you very well. Amazing details. Love it!. Your creativity is amazing!
thank you very much Hildegard, that's so kind of you to say, glad you liked it :)
Very cute top. Love all the fabrics. Aww the tie looks wonderful.
Thanks Paula :)
Wow! Just amazing amount of detail. Very cute 👍
Tank you very much Cath :)
This is a super cute top and looks great on you... definitely a good choice for the summer and in the winter you can layer it over a longer line vest top, maybe. Love it!
Thank you Susan, yes great idea to layer it, and the vest top would get around the strap showing problem too! :)
That is so cute!!!! Can't wait for the next one. You are inspiring me to tackle a closet full of makeovers for myself. Just keep being your awesome self. Thanks.
Thank you so much - you should go for it, you have nothing to lose. I've ransacked my husbands wardrobe as well, I have a little pile of shirts to make over now, watch this space, and please share some pics of your own makeovers, I'd love to see them :)
So beautiful, you are smartest artist ❤ ever
Oh wow! Thank you so much :)
Your blouse turn out beautiful! I love it!
Thank you very much! :)
You're so clever Annie! So inspired to go and cut up some tops 😅❤❤
Do it Louise, go for it! It's so liberating - if you use old tops and shirts there's nothing to lose. Just jump in and start cutting, don't stress, take your time and have fun with it and please share some pics if you do, I'd love to see! :)
You are soooooooo brave. The top is beautiful ❤
Thank you so much!! I figured I had nothing to lose except a bit of time - hardest bit is that first cut, after that you just go with the flow and see what happens. Thank you for watching, I'm so happy you like it :)
You definitely are a hippy chic. The added ‘bra straps’ will creat a really up to date fashion feature which I’ve seen a lot of lately in the shops.
I agree, you should try for the Sewing Bee, you could wipe the floor with a lot of this seasons contestants, as long as you could make something in double quick time!
hehe thanks Maggie, yes I have always been a hippy chick at heart, child of the sixties! Aha, good to know I will be up to date for a change, I don't go shopping, so I have absolutely no idea what's in and what's out most of the time! I love watching GBSB, and the transformation challenge is always my favourite bit, but there's no way I could work under the kind of time pressure they put on - I always wish they would give them longer, see what they can really do, I don't think they need the time pressure to make it interesting do they? :)
Thanks for going through your thinking through everything. I've been toying with redoing some of my tops, expanding them in the process, but haven't seen any ideas on making clothes larger. It turned out so cute! Thanks!
Go for it Ann, it's so satisfying to do, and please share some pics of your makeovers, I'd love to see :)
Wow, it’s beautiful!
Thank you very much :)
So lovely and I absolutely agree with your decision to keep the blue fabric running all the way through from top to bottom. Great video thank you ❤
Thank you Julie, yes I think that worked better in the end didn't it? Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching :)
This is lovely and flattering.
Thank you for sharing.
I love this color on you.
Thank you very much Kelli, I really appreciate that :)
Wow wow wow! You are brave cutting into the clothing! You go girl. Cute cute cute! Stop saying you’re fat please. 😊🤗❤️
Thank you so much Martha - it might look brave, but I find it so liberating and I reckon I have nothing to lose if it did go wrong. The only way I can start is to jump in and cut, I can't work much out beforehand, so I start with the vaguest of ideas and accept that tings may change as I go along, but that's half the fun! ok, I will try and stop calling myself the F-word, thanks Martha :) xo
Hope you feel better soon too xx
Loved it!
Thank you very much :)
Love it😊💕💕
❤ TFS, I love it!
Thank you very much Kellie :)
I would just wear a white tank top underneath and enjoy the cute summer top you've created.
Thank you Carolyn, yes Jen suggested that too, I think it's an excellent idea as would hide the bra strap problem too :)
Sooo cute❤
Thank you Rhonda! :)
Cute top.
thank you very much Lucille :)
You are giving me ideas! I have a blue shirt type blouse, it's gauze material and very pretty. It doesn't fit me anymore though. I've been deciding what to do with it. And I have some blue paisley print yardage, Perhaps I could combine them some way. Yes, I like to remodel clothes too. I have a two piece black and white print dress. The gathered skirt looks awful on me. I',m thinking about adding a tank top in black to the dress skirt, with maybe a nice belt in the middle. Oh boy, so many plans and not enough time. At least it gets us up in the morning, doesn't it?
hehe I know that feeling - so many ideas on the list! But as you say, it does get us up in the morning, I wake up thinking about what I'm going to make today. Your plans sound exciting - please do share some pics of your makeovers in the FB group or Discord community, I'd love to see :)
