      Thanks Liz, I hope you're right - do you remember the Rumpelstiltskin story, where she had to spin straw into gold? :)

    Thank you Annie for your video and sharing this company with us. I can see lots of colourful clothes on the horizon here. Patchwork heaven. I quite fancy a patchwork jacket ,problem is I am really boring, sorry conservative in my clothing, probably years of wearing a uniform. A tiny bit of me wants to break out and go really bright and fun. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your finds.

    Some of those really colorful prints would make nice miniature pictures to the Barbie doll. I saw several I would use for that purpose.

    Oh they look amazing. I used to do workshops with a lady called Jenifer Trollop and she always had couture scraps from France which were amazing. I always bought a few. Love that blue bead trim very much! I expect the ‘plastic’ bags are cellophane which is cellulose from trees so sustainable, especially as they sound very crinkly.

    Interesting to see what you get. Absolutely loved that blue feather trim (I'm thinking Ann Wood style corvid) & the velvets. Loved the colour & eclectic mix, but too many stretchy fabrics for me. Also, I did frown about the number of stringy bits included. But ideal for a rag-rug, and to be fair the website does explain how small the scraps actually are in their product description. Ta for posting.

      Hi Valerie - yes some of these pieces will be a challenge to use, and I was a bit hmmmmm about the stringy bits, but as you say there is a warning in the description. I think I'm going to patch all the stretchy bits together and they'll either become a patchwork top if there's enough, or possibly a technicolour teddy or cat! :)

    The narrow strips could be used to make fabric twine?

      Hi Barbi - Bazaar DO sell to the US, but you need to email them what you want, then they will quote for postage and if you want to go ahead they'll send you a PayPal invoice. I mentioned in the video that if you try to order in the normal way outside the UK the system won't allow it you have to email them - but they have sent bundles to US, Canada and other countries outside UK - so do drop them an email, their contact details are all on the website. Hope that helps :)

  • @alteriormotiveswithcarrie8546

    I have to say I'm not that impressed. I just felt like a LOT of it was what I would consider almost unusable. I mean, between the pile of what you're going to use for stuffing and the pile of what you're going to try to use for your rag rug, I felt like the packs should have even cheaper. Oh well, no matter for me, since I'm outside the UK anyway. I do have to say, you are REALLY good at not wasting anything and using every speck! I don't think most people will be as skilled as you or motivated as you are to find a use for everything. But I guess we should give the company some credit for at least trying to use their scraps.

    • @artyfartyannie
      @artyfartyannie  Před měsícem

      Yea I take your point Carrie, but they do include a warning that these bags include tiny scraps. I wouldn't have wanted too much of the long strip stuff, but the rest balanced it out for me, and the cost of the large bag is literally the cost of postage plus a couple of quid which I guess covers packaging materials and time, so I think it's fair - as long as you DO have a use for them of course. I think the little bougie bags will have more useful size pieces, and a couple of people in our FB group have shared pics of the 2kg bougie and bigger bits bag, which looks fab. It's always going to be potluck and it is a challenge to use these kinds of pieces, but that's what I love about them I guess. Call me weird ..... everybody does! :D xo
