- First of all, Bonne fête nationale.
This week I go shopping in Limoges, cut out more bags, sort out the gazebo for summer and do a whole bunch of cleaning.
I make a gift for a special friend @the-moons and deliver it quickly before she leaves for the UK.

Hidden away in France is a channel showing my life in the countryside of France. As a dressmaker of whimsical fairytale dresses and more, to living a simple life whilst trying to renovate my old farm. My love of the outdoors and nature, ancient buildings and architecture to period costumes and all things related.

I like working with Toile de Jouey …patterns and colours are lovely. Squashy has the life doesn’t he? A beautifully holiday home in a gorgeous location. The rural life would really appeal to me. Another enjoyable video. Tfs 😊

I really like your colorful patio canopy. Great design and colors. Nice trip into the city for fabrics I enjoyed seeing a French city. The train station would be awesome to see inside some day. I enjoyed the sewing room footage too. It is so relaxing to hear the sizzors cutting, machine running and the iron. I really miss sewing. I love the fabrics you bought. Hello, thank you. The canopy was made of oddments of fabrics that I had left over. Not big enough to make dresses out of but perfect for this. I'll visit the station soon and film the inside.

Hello, yes it really does especially considering it was a Lidl sewing machine! I make sure to use a big needle and help feed the fabric through were it's too bulky.
Loved the bag, nice and big. Also, love the Moons, they’re a wonderful family, taking care of all the horses and assorted menagerie of animals.

Hi there, sorry for the delay in replying. Yes I did make the gazebo cover. I have loads of triangle pieces of fabrics left from when I make my dresses and never know what to do with them. So this was a perfect use as the who cover is made of triangles! The old cover disinterested so I used it as a pattern. It's a sun shade rather than waterproof but it's fine with light showers. Hi oh your shopping trip brought back memories and I had visited both of those shops. We had a little holiday cottage just outside Bellac for many years, lovely memories. Family health problems meant we had to sell it but oh so many happy days. Subscribed so look forward to spending more time with you. Is the canopy made out of canvas or what type of material?
It's actually made out of left over pieces of panne velvet! I always end up with odd triangle pieces so it was a good way to use it up. It is only for sun shade but it can handle light rain.
