    That is really good news that you can still go out and enjoy yourself and still lose something as you say bodes well for maintaining weight. I too have had two days over and I was looking after a friend’s dog so was walking 5 miles a day and only lost half a pound ❤

    Well done Annie on having lost any. Not being so mobile with the virus impacted your final weight. It is really exhausting and the tiredness is so real. Remember it's a long winter with probably no treats as in going out for celebration. Enjoy it now you are being sensible so hang on in there lovely. You are toning up nicely. I am still wearing baggy tops and I am 3 and 1/2 stone lighter. No intention of buying a new wardrobe , just a few things to go out in , at home baggy tops. One exception. New underwear was bought which really made me happy. My old bra which you could carry a bowling ball in is no longer in use. So keep smiling its all good .

      hehehe do you think we can come up with a crafting use to recycle old bras?? That could be fun. My husband loves playing bowls, maybe I could make a new bag for him .... :D I'm looking forward to ditching the big knickers - although for me, comfort will usually win out these days. Well done to you as well, 3.5 stone is blimmin brilliant and actually what I'm aiming at as my total to lose, although I may go a bit further if I can. Let's just keep on keeping on :) xo

    Girl! I'm so excited for you! Even without being active and meals out you dropped 1/4 lb! I'm telling you, slow and steady really does win the race. You can do this! You ARE doing this! Feel better and don't give up! ❤❤❤

      Thank you so much for the encouragement - I think this is the kind of blip where it would be easy to give up, but the support I've been getting from you lovely people and knowing that I've committed to share my journey with you here really helps me to keep going - eyes on the prize! :)

      Thank you very much Mandy and yes you're absolutely right, we have to let go sometimes, I'm very happy that it didn't throw me off track too much and keen to see how it goes after another couple of outings this week :) xo

      Thanks Kari, yes it definitely could have been worse - once upon a time, I would have added at least a couple of thousand calories worth of wine to my tally, and a couple thousand more from the nibbles I ate without even thinking, so overall I'm quite chuffed with myself really. Feeling more confident now that I can enjoy the next two outings without falling by the wayside too much :) xo

      Thank you Lisa - since this went out, I've been back on track with recording all my intake and upping the activity again, so I'm feeling more hopeful for next week, despite there being another two slap-up lunches before then! :) xo

      Thank you Jen - I'm sure you're right about the more fitted, or at least less baggy clothes, even if it's only for when I leave the house or record a video - I'll see what I can come up when I hit the 50% mark, which hopefully won't be too much longer :) xo

      Thanks Christine - as I type this (behind with answering comments as usual) we're just heading out to yet another party, it's that time of year, but I feel encouraged if I can navigate social situations and enjoy myself while keeping it steady :) xo

    Well done! It’s important not to deny yourself completely. Sensible of you to choose lovely food over lovely wine (I realised somewhat belatedly after piling on weight that I wasn’t counting the calories in the wine I was drinking with meals 😂).
    Remember after having a horrid virus to build up your activity gently, it will have taken its toll on your system and energy levels, you take care now xxx.

      Thank you very much, yes you have to let go a bit sometimes, well I do anyway! I'm sure one glass of wine wouldn't have been the end of the world, but I know myself so well - one glass would have been just the beginning! You're right, I'm finding I need to build up the activity levels gently again, like starting from the beginning almost, except that I think everything is a bit easier now I'm carrying less weight with me (currently about 43 half-pound or 225g packs of lard - imagine having to lug that about in two carrier bags!). Thanks for your support, you know how much I appreciate it :) xo

    Good on you for losing a little, not the best though to go without food this weight will pop on quite quickly again, um something to do with the fat thingy in the blah blah I read about it years ago when people were doing the miss a meal diet, what a palaver this was, lol. Oh my tight out of the shower lol oh my nearly killed myself laughing sorry but so funny. Have a lovely week ❤.

      hehe I know it was hilarious, I need wet myself laughing when I realised, I'll have to watch out for that next time! :D Yea you're right, it's not a sensible approach at all - I think it's ok to have less in the evening if you've had a slap-up lunch, or have a light lunch if you know you're going to have a fancy dinner, but I'm sure starving myself all day to the point where I feel wobbly is not sensible and probably counter-productive. Hope you're feeling better now Paula, have a good week yourself xo

      hehe, it was hilarious, I won't say "youshould have seen it!" because I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but it was hilarious when I realised, and thank goodness I did!! Ok, challenge accepted - when I reach the 50% mark. eeeek :)
