I was a flight attendant for Air Wisconsin when they became a US Airways Express. It was a well run regional carrier but you worked like a dog!

Use to be a frequent passenger when I was a kid, especially of the Canadian North division, courtesy of my father who was a Flight Service Specialist for Transport Canada at the time in Kuujjuaq. Still remember the stellar service they were giving, and still have a blanket that was gifted to me by one of their staff, I miss them dearly. No plan on forgetting them ever, and when I fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator in VATSIM, I usually either fly under Canadian or Inter-Canadien banner depending on the plane I fly :)

I loved my career at Canadi>n Holidays and I so would do it again if the opportunity presented itself again. They say “Find a job that you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life!” It truly was irreplaceable. I miss my inside customers, my outside customers and the memories that this career afforded me. Thank you Canadi>n Airlines.

I'll never forget my two flights on Canadian 737-200. Mexico City - Toronto (stopover in Monterrey for refueling), and back. This happened back in 1998. Those were the days folks!

It was a beautiful airline company that was never given the chance to fully succeed because of the rules at the time. Air Canada was allowed to dictate what cities and routes they wanted, and the hell with any other airline that stood in its way. Air Canada was allowed to quash any competition and put them out of business, which exactly happened to Canadian Airlines. New rules now prevents that sort of thing happening again, or airlines like WestJet, and Porter probably would be out of business by now.

August of 1999 was the very first time I ever flew in any jumbo jet...it was a Canadian Airlines Boeing 767-300ER at Toronto Pearson International Airport, bound for Calgary and Vancouver, and at Vancouver International Airport bound for Toronto...both were red-eye flights! I've never flown in a jumbo jet since then!

The first time I ever boarded this aircraft was back on the morning of April 20, 1997 at Toronto Pearson International Airport...it was bound for Orlando International Airport as part of our first-ever trip to Florida! Ten days later, we went on this same aircraft again at Toronto Pearson, but it was bound for Halifax after spending ten days in Florida!

The first time I flew in a Canadian Airlines Boeing 737-200 was back on April 19, 1997 at the Halifax International Airport...it was bound for Toronto Pearson International Airport, and that was part of our ten-day trip to Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area! I flew in this aircraft again just ten days later at the Tampa International Airport, bound for Toronto Pearson!

I was on a Royal Airline 727 (maybe that one at 0:58) that suffered an atrociously hard landing coming back from Cancun Mexico with my young bride in 1995. He floated the landing and then stalled a wing, coming down hard on the starboard side main landing gear blowing BOTH tires. We had to get picked up by shuttle busses on a north end taxiway. Later, standing in line at customs we saw the flushed-faced captain and first officer come through the express line next to us... and they were both younger than we were at the time. The "Royal Treatment" as they used to call it on that airline, ha ha.

In about 1975, I was a 13 year old passenger on an AC L1011 with my parents and was blown away by the spacious cabin with two aisles! 13 years later, I was now a commercial pilot and flew L1011’s as a copilot for BA from 1989 to 1992…..the flight deck was so large, that we once had about 9 passengers up front all at once for an improvised afternoon tea party, along with a tea cart and a selection of cakes as we cruised from Heathrow to Athens…very civilized! The auto land capability and design was the best of it’s day, far better than the 747-200…
