I have travelled dozens of air lines since late 80's. I miss Wardair service.

I remembered flying from Manchester Airport to Winnipeg on a Boeing 747 in August 1982. Loved it best airline I travelled

Canadian Airlines integrated the two organizations together in 1990, sold the Wardair aircraft and terminated most of Wardair management. It was the start of the erosion of services offered to the Customer. The end result is what we see today in the Canadian airline industry, no on-board services, pay for everything, including baggage and less than friendly, even hostile front line staff.

Thanks for developing the Wardair Canada Story. It's an interesting chronology of the organization. Do you plan on explaining what happened when the company was sold to Canadian Airlines?

Very true Tim...I remember my first flight on. CF-FUN. Boeing 707. YYZ - LGW. for under $200 (cdn) return,,Then the aviation industry got greedy with bureaucracy. Such great airlines like. Wardair / Canada 3000 / Royal, to name a few were destined to be ruined by corruption, deceit, plus fraud...The airline industry has gone backwards, All about "bums on seats", being charged for luggage/meals/drinks/ seating..etc..Your robbed before you even board the aircraft! Its no wonder there are so many delays/baggage loses/dirty/badly maintained/dangerous aircrafts flying around the globe...Health & safety is their last concern, as the crew are worked like slaves...Its no surprise that passengers lives are continuously put in danger, on a daily basis, as pilots/co-pilots are falling asleep in the cockpit...Slavery industry is being brought back as a way to earn quick hefty profits, without any customer care Profit making "lip service" at a high/fraudulent cost...The FAA needs to get tougher by imposing stiff regulations on all airlines with an (all inclusive) set fare paying price control immediately...No more on top (taxes) separate added fare prices...If they fail to abide by these rules/ regulations, then put them out of business, with hefty fines, plus their CEOs thrown in prison for corruption/deception & fraud..That's how they must be rewarded!

Wardair was the best airline ever to fly the skies. Every seat was first class at economy prices. Too bad today's airlines don't try to emulate the success of Wardair. Today flying is chore and airlines seek to maximize profits and minimize service. Now I do not fly. -I take the train.
