I was on a Royal Airline 727 (maybe that one at 0:58) that suffered an atrociously hard landing coming back from Cancun Mexico with my young bride in 1995. He floated the landing and then stalled a wing, coming down hard on the starboard side main landing gear blowing BOTH tires. We had to get picked up by shuttle busses on a north end taxiway. Later, standing in line at customs we saw the flushed-faced captain and first officer come through the express line next to us... and they were both younger than we were at the time. The "Royal Treatment" as they used to call it on that airline, ha ha.

There was such an astounding variety at Pearson back in those days. I'm glad videos exist to tell the story of a time when things were easier to do. Being an airplane spotter these days is quite difficult in terms of finding decent locations and not looking peculiar!

Yes...it certainly was a joy to be able to go to the then T1 parking garage and do some spotting.

Cool video! Around this time I was hanging out at KSEA...
Do you have any footage of a British Caledonian DC-10?

Herman Kreimes I looked in my 1999 JP Airline-fleets book and discovered that they only had two DC-10s and they did not get them until 1997.

Yes, it is quite possible that you could have been on some of those flights.

Yes indeed, back in those days there were still a lot of noisy airplanes around.
I see see that you have adopted a name well known in the aviation world. (Pan AM)
