I think you should look at the burger method I learned it in therapy but basically the top bun is flight or flight the bottom is more depressive and the meat is rest and digest. You need all parts of the burger but the meat is what we like best. It sounds silly but it makes it simple for me to understand where I am and how to get back to the good part of the burger.
