I was only gone a week from my house and it looked like enough poo for 10 mice we only bought two and it took one night. after you get all the poo vacuumed you will see if you have more mice easier they probably weren’t there very long

Bonnie, my uncle had a house next to a corn field. He said as cold weather set in the mice lined up with their suitcases to get in. Made us all laugh but the down side of farm life. He eventually got the holes taken care of.

I haven’t read all the comments but when you live around fields or undeveloped property…. You need a CAT for mousing👏👏👏👏we only have 5 acres but several neighbors have a cat. I do not like cats at all but I don’t mind seeing them around because THEY are great mousers👏👏👏IMHO I think it’s the only way. I’m so sorry you have to figure this out. Good Luck👏👏👏👏

Oh Bonnie, watching this made me go back to the time we came back from a trip and found the exact same thing. It feels so invasive! I'm so sorry you have to handle this situation as soon as you get home! I hope you and Joel will not be at yourselves up about it. You didn't welcome them in or let them come in - it happened on accident.

Luckily you have 2 washers and two dryers to get all the wash going....Thankful you have the RV to stay in... maybe hire a trusted cleaning crew to assist because lets face it the quicker you get on top of sanitizing your home the better you feel...it's going to take time with traps i would consider the poison though its not always as bad as one dying you can't find. Get a couple barn cats this could help tremendously from the outside coming in

We had a rat infestation in my house when I was in high school. My parents hired an exterminator and we also went and got a cat 😂 best investment ever

I am so sorry you guys. I can only imagine coming home to your brand new beautiful house to have it infiltrated by mice, but I admire you guys for having such a positive attitude and just getting to it day one cleaning it little by little… I could watch you guys in amazing adventures in Florida or picking up mouse poop but no matter what you’re doing. Peanut butter doesn't always work for us. Tootsie roll pieces on there do great because they can't just lick off. smaller mice don't aways set the traps off with peanut butter ( it helps to microwave Tootsie rolls for a bit) We live in an old country house and we get the occasional visitor. You have handled this so well! I tend to just throw things away cause I can't deal!! 😂 You're doing amazing!

The funniest part of the mouse vlog was when you made everyone take their socks off so your floor didn't get dirty then Cody taking a huge lick off that candy cane😂 bet you it had mouse poop on it.

If you put traps caddy corner in the corners and then they can’t sneak around it.

I found that glue traps are the best, with peanut butter for bait. Also, once you've cleaned the room, spray it with peppermint spray, it's sold on amazon and lot's of places. In theory, mice won't go back in a spot sprayed with peppermint spray. I used to get them under my sink. The mice would come in through my garage, and make their way in to the walls, and up through the pipes. So, I sprayed the pipes and all the entrance ways around the pipes with peppermint. That was in October. I have resprayed 3-4 times. No more mice since October.

I wonder if before you left on your trip, your dog brought in a mouse into its cage? Then that mouse maybe had babies?

Bait boxes where they can’t get out, are the best! We had one with 30 mice in it!

Please wear gloves. Rodents have many diseases. The mice love to live in walls and eat sheet rock! You really should use poison. When they eat the poison, they go looking for water to drink. So they usually don’t die in the walls or anything like that. They leave their homes and they go looking for water. You can find them under sinks, and in bathtubs and buckets etc. it really is the best way to get rid of an infestation.

I stumbled upon your stream. Watched 3-4 videos. Beautiful home and family and nice RV and yet you cry? Lots of ppl don’t have good clothes home etc. I’m sure I’ve missed your story and why you cry so much.

Make sure you shampoo the carpet too for the urine.

You should get ultrasonic repellents. They are give a really high frequency noice that the human cannot hear but the mice can and for them it’s a disturbing noice that makes them go away

You really should get an indoor cat and a couple of feral barn cats for outside. You won't see mice again.

We moved into a home that was vacant for a few months before we purchased it and it was the same situation you have here 😅 I feel your pain. We did a lot of small dishes of the mouse repellent pellets up in cupboards away from pets and such and that seemed to help us a lot! Good luck!

A couple of years ago I caught 58 mice! In a small apartment! I could not figure out where they came from! I had lived there for several years and had never seen one and I was in an upstairs apartment. One day while watering several plants that I had recently moved inside for the winter it hit me! They had burrowed into the dirt of those plants and once inside they came out and multiplied!! It took weeks for me to catch them all and I couldn’t believe how they just kept getting in the traps. I literally kept a running count! And I had no where else to go I just had to live there and fight! I feel your pain

Get you a cat that will keep the mice away

Bonnie, my house backs up to a 500 acre field that has various wheat/crops, I use a electric zapper in my garage. I bait it with pb/choc chips. I also tried the snap traps inside closets. My house is just 3600sq ft but it was overwhelming. Major major hugs 💞

Do you think you guys will get a few barn cats? You live out in the middle of no where It would help keep the mice away for sure.

Looks like you need to check the walls & attic!!! Mice live in walls, Nest in insulation attics, etc. The land your home is on is most likely a field of mice!!!! Call an exterminator!!!! There are several mice and nests of them with that much of mouse droppings!!! More than one mouse, it's a family of them, they reproduce every 2-3 weeks !!!! Every 3 weeks new mice are born !!! Prayers 🙏

So I saw Julie once at a Costa Vida a few years ago. I was too scared to say hi lol I am very shy and have terrible social anxiety. It's interesting and sweet to hear you say it makes you sad when you can tell someone is a viewer but they don't say hi. I will try to be more brave if I ever see any of yall again lol
