- This was the day of my sisters sentencing, so I spent a good portion of the day in the car. The day didnt feel like a weight lifted like I anticipated. I expected to feel a little closure, but didnt. It did feel nice to sit on the beach, and watch my family enjoy the sun. We saw dolphins, a shark, a sea turtle, and a huge school of jumping fish. I knew they were signs just for me.

I cannot believe that the grumpiest toddler, who was so jealous when you held Jackson or any other baby Bonnie, woke up grumpy from his naps, would get into anything in his room when it was quiet, you knew he was up to something, like a finger in his butt rash cream; could turn out to be one of the most loving and thoughtful kids ever! He is constantly thinking about doing things for others and not expecting ANYTHING in return. He truly loves his sister. He thinks constantly of others, not just his sister but friends and other family member. All your children are precious yet as a baby, Boston stole my heart, just because he was so grumpy, yet after a banana, he was hysterically funny! Now, he is just so sweet, thoughtful and still has a great sense of humor. Good job mom and dad! Great job on you Boston. You should be proud of yourself, you are truly growing up and you are an example for other boys your age to follow.

Update: This comment is not intended to judge or criticize Bonnie and Joel in any way. It seems some people have mistaken it as something negative, so I considered deleting it, but then I realized I didn't want to do that because somebody else who might not be aware of the danger of digging in sand might see this and it could possibly help somebody else. For the record, I love Bonnie and her family, so they definitely won't ever see any negativity from me. ❤️
Bonnie, please be careful when digging in the sand! A little girl recently passed away during a trip to Florida when she was digging in the sand with her brother and it collapsed on her. I had never thought of anything like that happening until I saw it on the news, so just wanted to make you aware in case you hadn't heard about it.
When i saw this post that little girl came to my mind immediately.
Ok this is worth responding too….i live right on the beach in California Huntington Beach to be specific. Lincoln was in a hole. He was laying in the sand, with sand on top. Those kids were in a hole. Beach sand safety is:
1. You do not dig a hole deeper then your own knees and then bury yourself in it.
2. You do not go unattended in a hole
Those kids in Florida went into an extremely deep hole that was reckless and were unattended.
Joel and Bonnie are very attentive

@@Hebrews123, oh, absolutely! Bonnie and Joel are the best parents, no question! I definitely wasn't judging. I just get very nervous thinking about anybody digging in sand since I heard about that little girl.

Tip to getting sand off of you after spending the day at the beach is you put baby powder in a sock and then you just start rubbing or dabbing it all over and the sand falls right off. That way you don’t have it all in your car, didn’t learn this lesson until after our beach day.
I saw dolphins when I was in the Bahamas last July
A child sunk in the sand and died in Miami Florida just recently! Please do not dig holes deeper than your knees!!

I appreciate that. It was a tragedy what happened to that girl, her situation was far different than ours. Lincoln wasn’t standing in a hole. He was lying in a shallow divot.

I don't have Instagram, so I have no idea what was said. My comment was said out of concern and a precaution for the future, not out of judgment for what they were doing in the moment. I didn't mean to ruffle anybody's feathers or upset anybody. I would say the same thing to anybody I cared about whose kids were playing in the sand and I would appreciate it if somebody did the same thing for me, so I figured Bonnie wouldn't mind me mentioning it. I wish I could take my kids on a long vacation but unfortunately in the state that I live in, we would get in trouble unless we were doing homeschooling.
In every state you wouldn’t be able to go this long without home school. That’s part of it.
Why couldn’t you pull your children from school and go on a vacation? Y’all deserve it! When you get back, just enroll your child back into public school. It’s easy!
