OKAY. So again I have never read the books so do not confirm or deny these theories. But I will keep editing the more that come to mind. SPOILERS FOR THESE CHAPTERS. Here are the new ones so far. 1. Our King and God YWX might become romantically linked MHX in a Hate to Love 200k Slow Burn ass style. Like they may become foils for past life CWN and MR. At each other's throats but ultimately cant keep their hands off each other. 2. MR never actually mastered Rebirth. It was CWN. And with him being attached to MR in death by MoRan himself, CWN used this and brought him back (and SM too by proxy bc the two marks on MR's heart) so that he may have a second chance of saving MR from himself and keeping SM alive. This feeds into my theory that he might die at the barrier, bc he will not let neither SM or MR die this time. Something in his soul cant let it happen and I think its the reason he's instinctively staying closer to them this time around too. (That and the jealousy ) However I think bc of the connection to MR's heart he does not remember the specifics straight away just the emotions. Its subconscious. 3. SM is remembering his past life as CWN is and eventually, once he realises much later that CWN once 'left him to die' begins to resent him. If this happens after my theorised CWN death then during the time they try to (in my theory) recover him, he might try and stop it instead. If the roles are now reverses and say MR is the one almost killed and SM is the one hit with ghosts or demons. What if SM becomes the new kind of Master of All Evil that MR was before and the more they fall in love the more resentful he becomes? Almost like an unlocking of his inner demons until the demon becomes who he is? 4. The man at the end has to be something to do with CWN. An ancestor? Will this be back story of how CWN came to be? Will get some back story on some generational trauma that filtered down to him? WHO KNOWS FAM. 5. All I know is the scenes with MR and his Shidi (CWN) will be monumental when MR finds out who his Shidi is bc 1.It will force him to humanise CWN completely and 2. If CWN actually does die, THE PAIN THIS MAN WILL FEEL. Knowing how vulnerable CWN is and that he actually thinks MR is great (btw the way he said this maybe its his subconscious kicking in again). Also none of missed the SM parallels and how differently those words meant and made MR feel after. SM saying 'you're great' leaving him unsure and a little wobbly. CWN saying it and leaving him feeling emotional and touched. I still think MR never naturally loved SM and the loved was forced in some fashion. I think who he loved from the start was CWN. 6. (A small one) That hair pin gonna come back to haunt me. DONT ask why but any object given by one love interest to another is gonna come back to stab you later. I dunno if CWN dies what if the pin is left behind?! And then its like OH. OH NO. But yes chime in. I'm just as confused as yall haha <3

When I red chapter 59, to the one where MR picks the Haitang flower, I cried like a baby for a good hour. Every time I read it I cry. It shows a reason as to why MR is the way he is towards CWN. As much as that chapter breaks me every time I read it, it is still one of my favorite chapters.

I really like your channel and haven't seen all of your content yet, but watching this series is frustrating because there are so many parts left out which explains more of what's going on. Very choppy and incomplete. I thought this was the uncut version. Luckily I had the opportunity to see it mostly together except for intimate scenes. Evidently these platforms have no difficulty showing violence and cruelty, but sex is a nono. Sorry for the rant, but I get so frustrated with policies that make no sense. I do enjoy your knowledge and enthusiasm.

Oh for the love of… I forgot how bloody frustrating the conversation (not that we can call it a conversation; it’s more of a bullshit spitting contest) is in the book. It’s frustrating in the show but the book has it going on longer with more people speaking out. MXTX’s is so good at human lunacy. She shows how much that kind of behavior can either change a person for the best, for the worse or just destroy them entirely. Not the funniest episode cause that whole scene was exhausting but I’ll thank her for potatoes and radishes right after it.

Your reaction to Ye Zun was amazing and kept making me chuckling (giggling wtv) because it was a mood. These videos are a delight every time. You’re expressive and it makes watching this show all over again with you more engaging. What you clock, what you don’t, the screams and giggles it’s like watching it for the first time again🎉 Embarrassing fact: I did not clock Ye Zun by his face at first, I ended up recognizing his voice, not believing, then checking the casting list to make sure I wasn’t being dumb. The Clark Kent stupid disguise trick actually works on me (as long as it’s with as big a mask as in this where almost only the mouth and chin show). As for his voice, now I clock it even in Therapy Rock’s distorted speech. Which I did clock before Ye Zun had a body, but a friend told me I was hearing things so I just moved on😂

1:34:50 I think the condition that you are looking for it called alexithymia. It's usually characterised as having a hard time labelling or describing your own emotions. I saw someone describe it as trying to tell someone what was in a tin can that had no label on it without opening it but only knowing if it was vaguely good or bad by holding it. I usually think of it as colour-blindness but for feelings. So I imagine emotions that other people can narrow down on a lot easier with more distinct labels can get lumped together under bigger umbrella terms and end up feeling much more confusing. Like Mo Ran's complex feelings for Chu Wan Ning just get condensed to 'I feel bad when I think about Shizhun or when I'm near Shizhun' where someone else might be able to realise that there is a lot more going on than that and not all of it is bad. That at least in part some of that feeling feels so bad because he feels guilty for what he did to Chu Wan Ning. But to Mo Ran... feel bad... bad things are bad... oh i guess i hate him then. I don’t think I hate a character in this show. Villains are villainous, sketchy people are sketchy and heroes are heroes. To be fair about the plot, Priest’s novel is a /mess/ (one I love but damn if the show didn’t work overtime to try and make sense of everything while dodging what’s forbidden in Chinese media - the entirety of the novel really) and the ambiguity of it all stems from it unfortunately. Still a very good show I find, and while I do agree the leads are amazing, I think the fandom has the bad habit to undersell everything else and the work they all put into it.

So this might be a weird thing to say (sorry if it is) but I have pretty bad misophonia for pretty much all throat noises and these streams have been really helpful for that. I never expected it but now I'm starting to be kind of fine when people cough around me? I think it's because the streams are such a good time in general, and your coughs are so even & predictable that I've learned to be chiller about them. DO NOT CONFIRM OR DENY ANY OF THESE IN THE COMMENTS! THIS IS JUST FROM THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN THEORISING WHO HAVENT READ THE BOOKS FOR THOSE IN THAT GROUP WHO COULDNT MAKE THE STREAM) Main Theories so far(with help from Maddie and Nasty and A and the rest of chat): 1. CWN Knows in some way about his past life (sorta half confirmed by the dreams). This was mine. I think he will remember as MR does and as MR becomes more disgusted with himself and remember CWN and their love more clearly, CWN will become more scared of MR and until he remembers what Mo Ran said about wanting to be praised by him and then he realises all he needs to do is meet him half way. 2. SM is SO suspicious. Maddie called that he has a thing for CWN! I personally think in the first timeline he's manipulated MR's memories or feelings so MR can forget his love for CWN and this has caused the split in his love for CWN and his lust for CWN. He imprinted his love upon SM and SM did this so that SM could be the only one to love his Shizun and MR wont 'get in the way' of CWN loving SM. TBH if this is the case I wouldnt be surprised if SM doesnt actually love CWN but almost craves owning him and MAYBE this is where the switch in their CWN feelings came from. That SM imprinted this need to own CWN on him. 3. The wontons may have been something that links specifically to CWN or CWN made those wontons and SM just took them to MR to manipulate the situation (maybe or not maybe under the guise they were his creation, Maddie first said this but now I fully believe it). The first wontons SM gave to MR might have been laced with love potion ect (This is A's and VERY interesting!) 4. The breaking of the barrier (and this may be a little wild) has something to do with SM and it was so that he could attain enough power to become some sort of entity that could create the chess formation. SM might actually be a clever narcissist in the works. 5. The TL Elder is suspect too. He could be using SM as a puppet or SM could be working with him but only 3 pills seems strange and like he seems to hate CWN and CWN hates him. But then again SM could just be being used as a puppet by whoever. 6. The reason why MR cant remember certain good moments and they're only being slowly revealed now is bc someone blocked the good feelings in the first TL (maybe a devil or demon from the barrier, maybe SM, or another big bad) 7. I personally think that after getting to know his disciples through the age change thing and perhaps bc MR might go for the barrier instead of SM, that it was set up previously that CWN might 'die' in some fashion in this time line and that is what makes MR completely change his perspective of his feelings. Some one else suggested that the barrier might also break with CWN trying to save both MR and or SM and if it does I think either it will kill CWN and/or MR will realise why CWN made the choice he did bc of how bad it gets. 8. (Just a little one) XM actually does have a crush on CWN but is not sexually attracted to him more romantically attracted. Almost the way MR is with SM, but naturally. I cant think of the rest we discussed haha!

Adding to the should you read volume 3 now, I completely understand your reasoning and see why it should be that way. If the series were complete or even nearer to being complete, I would push harder for you to do 3/3/3/2, leading to the 11 volumes. IMHO, the break at volume 3 may be slightly more organic for a break to move to reading another series, but not by that much. I'm looking forward to the voting on the next series to be read, unless that is already established. I do have feelings about what I want you to do, but I expect to be outvoted. We shall see.

1:18:30 - What kills me here is that, based on the last chapter or so, Chu Wanning is probably trying to do the right thing by being a bit distant. He finds this student attractive, he knows that's inappropriate...so, on top of just having kind of a flat affect period, he probably doesn't want to encourage any greater intimacy. Or at least I'm hoping that's the route this is going; If you aren't going for total obliviousness as in SVSS, that's the next best thing. Granted, never praising your student EVER is not an ideal route to go - but I could see someone like CWN just getting chillier and chillier as MR just keeps fawning on him like a puppy because he doesn't know what else to do.
