Sometimes hunting can be a wild rollercoaster. The end result came after the emotional and physical struggle. In this hunt we put on the miles in some tough terrain in search of bears. One thing leads to the next and we are standing over a boar on the last day of the hunting season. Congratulations to âmy buddyâ Trevor on getting his first animal with a bow. ~ #britishcolumbia #wildlife #bearco...

Invest in a thermacell.
Itâs definitely crossed my mind haha
@@truetineoutdoors it's well worth it.
@@ericdittmar7260 which one do you recommend?
@@truetineoutdoors I've always used this one which is one of the originals. It also has a belt clip which makes it that much better for hunting scenarios.
iron sight? great job guy.
Yesir đ thanks for watching
Kudos on the recovery gentlemen! That's how it's done!!
Thanks Pal đ
Bear saw the staches and knew it had to disappear đ«Ą

bear been foolin with a few blokes
So proud of you two for really sticking it out, in search of that bear. P.S. throw in a catch n cook every now and then⊠i really do also like when your in teaching mode. Also do you spray your hunting clothes down with promethazine for ticks ?
I typically only will cook in the field with ungulates or fish, as Iâm really cautious of trich. But yes more catch and cooks! I donât use anything for ticks, itâs interesting the areas that I hunt donât seem to have a lot of ticks, probably just not coming across the infested hot spots. Thanks for watching
Nice hunt, especially with the open sights! Did you make that rack for your cooler?
Thanks! Yes I made it out of some old milk crates
WICKED job boiz!!! Fk yeah
Thanks man đ
Great job boys!!!! What a Track!! Can't believe you found that guy !!!
Thanks man! I honestly cant either, got pretty lucky there
Epic! (Cool pass thru). Great film featuring hard working and talented hunters who are conscientious conservationists. You should both consider carrying a mechanical tourniquet in your hip pocket. Ya scare the hell outta me stalking with naked broadheads. Hope to see more films featuring the two of you.
You know what Kev Iâve been meaning to throw one in my kit for a long time, thanks for the friendly reminder! Thanks for watching!
@@truetineoutdoors Right on hate to lose ya to a femoral bleedđ
Yea that wouldnât be good
Nice job Trevor! Way to stick with it boys and find that bear.
Thanks Ashley! Got er done!
Was just out at my property in Reg 8 over the weekend... bugs were crazy out there right now
Bugs were horrendous, they werenât as prolonged as last season tho. It felt like I was in them all of June last year
@@truetineoutdoors ahaha I picked a good time to go visit and check the cams then!
Good Job! It's amazing how Bears can just dissappear. I'm glad you found it.
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Outstanding video
Thanks for the kind words
Nice video. Lots of wildlife! All of those newer clearcuts make for nice bear country. I have encountered bears in the rain; in the West Kootenay and on Vancouver Island. If it has been raining for long enough they may be out foraging - also, if it is only lightly raining. Wool base layers and being careful with what I eat leading up to and on a hunt helps somewhat with my BO lol...
Yea that makes sense, thanks for your input! I find my merino base layers actually hold scent more than my synthetic layers. But eh whatever, I think not matter what youâre still gonna stink eventually!
That was a cool video. Envious of that kind of bear hunt. Only fall bear where I am. Great up-close footage of the first bear and agreed passing was a good idea.
Thanks for watching! The spring bear hunting season is definitely a special time
Doing my best to get this channel out there man!!! Great stuff, as always! Thanks
Wow thanks man I appreciate it, really cool to see feedback like this!
Another awesome vid ty!!!! Just getting out, away from the rat race is a huge bonus. Keep'em comin my friend !!!!!
Thanks for watching, always great to get away!
Great footage. Love your videos. You need an ebike to extend your range. Reach out to some of the ebike companies. They are always looking for you tube creators to feature their Ebikes guys on here are getting them for free. Cheers from Ontario.
Thank you! E-bikes have definitely crossed my mind. It would tremendously help with hunts like this. You could cover soo much more. They spook from the vehicles in these spots. Appreciate the shout out!
It's good to see a bear hunt like this instead of sitting over a bait pile. Awesome video, brother.
Thanks for watching, very much appreciate the comment!
It is illegal to bait bears in bc
@@joharaarabian we're in Nova Scotia. They bait Bears all year here.
I've seen some big bears in the rain. Got to sneak up on a monster because the rain masked my sound.
Thatâs cool, what type of geographical region are you hunting?
on Vancouver Island they don't care much about rain.
That seems fitting due to the amount of rainfall that the island gets. I guess this directly correlates with coastal bears.
Contrary to everything people say, I was half heartedly wandering a road with a solid inch of very fresh snow, mid morning, and thinking "there no way ill see anything, lll glass this knob and turn my dumbass for home". Not more than 5 minutes later did i see brown over white walking to a grass patch that was beginning to open up across the drainage
Oh interesting thatâs cool, was the snow still falling though? Cause if the sun was starting to pop that makes sense. But mid precipitation would be different.
@@truetineoutdoors tough call, definitely a transition period from light snow to dense cloud cover with warming temps. I recall being socked in for a bit before the sun came
@@truetineoutdoors that day i also saw another bear and a moose in neighbouring cut blocks, neither suspected eachother and went separate ways haha
Haha thatâs awesome, you never know what youâre going to see out there
Never seen one in the rain either! Only been hunting them for about 3 years though.
Yea they always seem to tuck away in the bad weather! Iâm sure weâll see it one day. Weirder things have happened!
What region are you in
Region 8
Awesome video. The kids got a kick from you reversing to collect your camera. I like how you framed your shots- very cool
Thanks Kev, thatâs funny! Iâm happy the kids found it entertaining!
Wild encounter man, that was awesome!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching man!
"did the boar tell the cub to kick rocks" is my new fav line in your vids lol. Great vid as always dude! We came up empty on LEH draw, but might still hunt the area we talked about for next year scouting as well as some bucks. We shall see. I'll keep you posted!
lol thank you! Thatâs too bad, itâs always good to learn the area before you put in, definitely check it out and search for some bucks.
By far my favourite BC based hunt channel. Keep it up đ
Itâs my favourite too :)
Great video and the tight bear footage combined with the triple bear spot was cool.
Much appreciated, thanks for the generous comment!
iâve seen some cooker muley bucks in the last few weeks in region 4. behaving mellow just like this

Another great adventure! Out of the BILLION hunting channels on here. Yours is more original. At least in my personal opinion. Thx for the footage
Thank you for the very generous comment, much appreciated!
Great vid man!!!!
Thank you!
My first encounter this year went almost the same, little deeper into May though, Reg 8, similar bear, same distance sitting at 50 yards field judging, caught the wind and jetted. Great to see success. Subbed, happy to see local content.
Thatâs awesome, thanks for watching and subbing!

When do you feel the need to blow on the predator call? When you spook a bear? Always feel like I should but contemplate.
Iâm very much so a newbie at the pred call, but my thought is to not blow on it if you have spooked them, as it may educate them on that sound and they already know whatâs over there. But my thought is to blow on it if you have a boar just cruisin through, there are a few videos on it out there in BC specifically.
What is the size of your backpack? Its definitely large enough to fit all your gear.
