  • Welcome to True Tine Outdoors new video launch. E-Scouting in British Columbia. In these videos I will be showing you how I breakdown an area before heading into it. This specific video will be about spring bear hunting in slash country. I hope this helps some people and I am able to supply some value to you as you head into the mountains on your next hunt.

great video Spencer! one thing l’ll add for new spring bear hunters escouting spots is make sure you have spots at various elevations. you never really know what springs going to be looking like out in the woods until you get there so you might end up still having snow and no growth in high spots or the green in low spots being too old already so having different options to find the sweet spot in elevation where the bears are hanging out is key 👍

Great insight to add on there! I’m finding with these videos it is hard to touch on every little detail, that one in specific is very important! Thank you! I have 2 more videos coming out for specific spring bears early and late spring which touches on this subject a tad.

Immensely valuable breakdown. This style of video is remarkably beneficial for both new and experienced hunters, alike.
The combination of audio and screenshare make it easy to follow your analysis. As a viewer, the coloured arrows and pins help identify landmarks and details on the map. The 3D feature of Mapbox hybrid offers perspectives that aid tremendously with understanding how the land truly lays in a real context.
Open-discourse in comments seems a healthy way we can collectively keep our minds open.
Curious to hear how new hunters feel about the knowledge shared in this vid. 🤔
    Keep it up, dawg.
Looking forward to the next one.
    👌✌

Thanks for the long and thoughtful comment 92. As you know there are an abundance of nuggets that are hard to completely cover throughout one video. The plan is to make more of these videos to indeed cover the nuggets. Stay tuned there will be more content on the subject of spring bear.

I'm based out of Lower Mainland, and would be interested in doing a hunt with you. If you're open to hunting with a partner who can hold a camera, let me know here. We can exchange contacts on another platform

Sounds like an idea. Not that I want to shut you down. But I think that when you’re heading out into those environments and you’re putting yourself and others in situations where anything can happen, you should be most certain on the capability of the person you are hunting with. I’m not saying no. I’m just saying maybe DM me on instagram and we can chat more in depth about it.

Hey Spencer, ive just learned more from this video about e-scouting using Ihunter than ive learned the past 5 years that ive been using the app for! Ive always used it more for navigation in the field, never really knew much about e-scouting...until now, thanks so much for the knowledge man! Looking forward to spring!
