  • In this video I cover E-scouting the great majestic moose of BC. I go over a high mountain area that is littered with marshes. A moose paradise. #britishcolumbia #moosehunting #moose #ihunter #hunting

Funny I found the exact spot because I thought it looked familiar hahaha

Great video series Spencer! Ill definitely be reviewing these before I head out this year. One thing to consider would be cross referencing the maps, with additional base maps or map apps, especially when it comes to new growth and burns. Like you've stated, boots on the ground is the ultimate factor.👍

Thanks for watching the video. Very true some satellite images do not show the new slashes in areas. Good luck this season 👌

Seismic cut lines? We often called the Cat trails....not always a straight line...but shot a lot of moose on these little roads/trails

The cut lines look to me like a partial cut was done to remove volume without creating a full clear cut. The area might have restrictions for species such as Cariboo

I came across these cut lines from my hunt last season and they use them like highways to the next slash or marshes I think. found plenty of deer and moose sign in them

Yea that’s awesome, I noticed there was quite a bit of feed in them. Thanks for watching.

Thanks Spencer. When you're e-scouting, what clues you in to what might be a marsh? I can't tell by looking at the map.

The marsh will be in a depression in the topography. It will either have a green colouring or beige/yellow colouring depending on when the satellite imagery was taken. Thanks for watching!
