In this video I show how we prepare the hide for black grouse before photography. We carry everything out early in the spring and leave it there so that we only have camera and sleeping bag etc. to carry out later when we have to photograph. I also set up a camera from Reolink with a built-in SIM card that enables me to look at my phone at any time to see what it looks like outside the hideout....

In this video I show how I set up my Nikon Z9 to take photos using AUTOCAPTURE. I show the settings I use and I also set up the camera and let it take pictures in my garden. I have a nesting redstart in a nest box as an example. This method is very useful when you want to get close to the subject without disturbing it. I photograph the golden eagle in a snowstorm at up to 25 m/sec. Later in the day the weather improved with sun but still windy which is perfect for eagles. Today I only had my Z9 and my 400mm f/2.8 lens because I needed as bright a lens as possible. Otherwise, I had intended to bring my 180-600 for better range. @@Halmstadfoto it's still a superb lens as your photographs demonstrate. I have the 300mm F -mount f2.8 which I use on my Z9 and the image quality is still first class. However, I would love to get my hands on the Z400mm f2.8, but it's difficult to justify the eye watering cost!

very informative video!! thanks i seek your suggestion I want to start photography professionally i have interests in Birds, wildlife, Landscape, wedding, fashion photography according to the budget, I have main two options Canon R6II and recently launched Nikon Z6III third one is Lumix s5II Please give me your suggestion on which one I should buy. I want to go for that one which would be advanced and future-oriented. I do not have much knowledge of the camera's technicalities and features. Please guide me I am Ravinder from Chandigarh
Unfortunately, I only know about Nikon cameras and I'm very happy with the mirrorless cameras I've had. Then Nikon probably has the best and cheapest range of lenses. I think you will be happy with the Nikon Z6III but I don't want to advise you as I don't know the other cameras. Best regards Göran
