HOW I Record with RODE GO II for my Youtube Videos.

- In this video, I go through how I record sound for my CZcams clips. It is important to get as close to the sound source as possible, so I use wireless microphones that transmit the sound to a receiver. I amplify or can modify the sound with a Handy recorder (Zoom) H4N before sending it into the camera. I can also record on the H4N and also out on the mics if I want to. Then it is easy to adjust the volume using a remote control and headphones.
The best thing about this is that I can sit inside a hide and hear what's going on outside. This in turn gives me more time to prepare when something comes up.

hi Gjøran, tusen takk for nok en super video 👍🤩 bare lurer på et par ting og det er det glasset du har på skjulet ditt. hva slags glass er det ? og hvor får man evt kjøpt/bestilt det ?, hvor mye lys mister du ved å fotografere igjennom det og dugger det mye på glasset når det er kaldt?
Tack Ole🙏😀 Det är ett 4 mm crystal clear stop sun . Spegelglas och det tar precis två bländarsteg. Jag har två fläktar som blåser på glasrutan och de drivs av en powerbank. Jag har fuktslukare och en gasolbrännare och använder man gömslet ofta så är rutorna för det mesta immfria. Det går att fota snett genom glaset men det är viktigt att det är 4 mm och inte 6. Då blir det mörkare. Lycka till.

It seems to me like you're doing an unnecessary step with the Zoom recorder.
- The Rode receiver can sit on camera in a cold-shoe mount, on a cage for the body or even velcro'd to your tripod.
- The receiver then plugs directly into the camera body, the headphones plug directly into the camera body and you won't need the Zoom recorder.
- You can adjust the mics using the Rode moblie app.

You're absolutely right that I don't need the handy recorder and I should have mentioned that but I'm so used to recording with the H4N that I forgot.
But in my case, when I use my big mic (sennheiser) with XLR input so much, I have to have Handy recorder.
In addition, at any time I can record the sound directly to the Handy recorder to build up my sound library. I collect audio and video to build up a media library.
